Royal Caribbean’s newly amplified Navigator of the Seas is the cruise line’s latest ship to be updated. With two sailings under our belt this summer, we are back with our Top 20 Navigator of the Seas Cruise Tips!

Navigator of the Seas offers 3 and 4 day Bahamas cruises that include stops at the cruise line’s private island of Perfect Day at CocoCay. If you are planning a short getaway on this vessel, the Princess and I have you covered with our insider secrets for Navigator of the Seas.
To help you save money, you should consider purchasing a “guaranteed” cabin. On both of our trips, we purchased one of these rates and lucked out with great stateroom locations. Plus, we still qualified for our travel agent’s perks, which included free gratuities.
You can also save money by purchasing your Deluxe Beverage Package pre-cruise. If you time things correctly, the package prices could be up to 30% lower than once onboard the ship. Plus, the package works on the private island of Perfect Day at CocoCay. So, you will be able to enjoy all your beverages at this new destination with no up-charges.
Added to Navigator of the Seas during its upgrade were two new waterslides and a newly improved mini-golf course. For the shortest wait times on the waterslides, we suggest testing them out on Day 1. They are open at 11:30 am, and if you board early, there will be few cruisers using the slides.

walking around the pool deck at night was amazing! it was very windy and the boat was rocking a lot the first so it was very empty! love the video!
FYI - this ship is now on the West coast, mostly travelling to Mexico. The casitas are no longer free, and they cost a fortune. The laser tag room has also been removed. The entertainment seems to be hit or miss, and you won't know who the entertainment is until you are on board.

Navigator is on the West Coast as of 2022 (if not earlier). I'll be aboard for Star Trek The Cruise VI Feb 24, 2023.
Just returned from a cruise on Navigator a couple of weeks ago. We love the Mega ships but this size is wonderful as well. We were unable to dock at COCO CAY because of high winds but we'll be going there on Harmony in MArch so it was ok. Waterslides were a huge hit and much better than the same ole same ole slides on Harmony and Symphony . After you have cruised on them for 4 and 5 times, the waterslides get kinda boring.I can't wait to sail on this ship again . You will truly love it for a 3 or 4 night.

Interesting what has changed since this was first put out there. Do Not show up early for your embarkation. You will sit outside and wait for your time!

@@erikasenchanteddisney7629 Now having said that a year ago, I went in May on Royal out of Orlando and they did not have any where specific for you to stand at your time slot. So it was a free for all of standing in the one long zig zagging line.

They don't let you board early anymore right? Got the 1pm time bc we are driving there that morning and it's about an hour away from our house. But wondering if they will let us on earlier if we arrive early
We have arrived early when Navigator was in FL and were able to board, but not sure if it’s different in CA.

They were checking VERY closely at Port Canaveral on Monday.. not even just taking your word they were looking at reservations to make sure you were in the right time slots they were not allowing early boarding unless you are a "frequent flyer" or key member..

What travel agency/agent do you got through to get such amazing deals?
We booked our Navigator cruises through CruCon, but use a variety of different travel agents.
If you are going on the ship day one and want to meet up with the large group of people you are traveling with at a bar, which bar would you go do that’s open prior to embarkment?
I suggest not going to the bar at all. There is a library on the ship and gather there.

Correct. When the casitas came out in 2019 they were free. Sadly, that is no longer the case.
Do you need a passport to go to the Bahamas via the cruise or just a drivers license?
Shelly Edson a passport is not required for US citizens on a closed loop cruise. You’ll need birth certificate and government issued picture ID, however it is recommended you travel with a passport book. Anything can happen. So it’s best to have a passport just in case you miss the ship, need medical care, or need to fly back home.

If you're consuming at least 6 alcoholic beverages a day, you should be checking into AA instead of taking a cruise.
