I remember how she was trying to say something, couldn't find a word and just started crying out of helplessness. What Iain did was incredible and really believable.
As a stutterer since childhood, Iain captured the EXACT nuance, emotion, embarrassment, and grasping that I have had. Every scene with Fitz's brain damage was a self insert that made me cry on several occasions

And so was another scene with Jemma later when Daisy found her and she just looked and sounded so broken. It was really freaking good on her part. But I agree that Iain is a literal king
Another scene that is great acting on Iain’s part is in season one when Garett turns and offers Fitz a job with Hydra. “You’re going to pay for what you’ve done. And I plan on being a very big part of that.” He is so convincingly scared but sure of the side he’s chosen. It’s compelling and relatable, and definitely one of the key scenes that reminds the audience why we’re rooting for these guys.
Agents of SHIELD is one of my all-time favorite shows, and everyone on it does a great job, but Iain De Caestecker crushes, and Elizabeth Henstridge is right up there with him. I struggled to remember words or finish sentences, especially at first, and sometimes still when I'm tired. It's been three years now and while it wasn't as bad or long lasting as his character's damage, I thought Iain did a remarkable job portraying how frustrating it is to not be able to communicate yourself clearly. And the emotional range he portrays on this show is absolutely stunning.
FeliciaRenya I agree. His portrayal of Fritz’s struggles was fantastic and my favorite part about that was the fact that even years later when he seemed to be back to “normal” there were still occasions when he would forget words or become flustered indicating that he learned to cope, but it never actually went away.
In my opinion, Fitz not only has one of the best, if not THE best character developments in the mcu, as well as some of the most character depth that I have EVER seen in any movie/show.
The first time I REALLY REALLY was impressed by his acting was in that ''Do something'' *screams* scene. What I found amazing about that scene is that his rage was just acted perfectly. It didn't feel over the top which could've easily happened in such a scene. It could've been Captain Kirk ''KHAAAAAAAN'' esque over the top crap acting, but it wasn't. He found the perfect balance. It felt like inner rage that finally came out onto the surface after losing the woman he loved. You could clearly feel his frustration in the scene and his anger. It's just really incredible imo. I can easily see the actor doing solid performances in indie movies after he's done in AoS and then stepping onto even bigger movie productions. While I can see Chloe Benett being in some blockbuster as a sidecharacter. Her acting is good for a network tv show, but it won't approach Emmy or Oscar level acting. Something Iain could achieve imo. Elizabeth Henstridge is also really solid on AoS and she's easily the best actor on the show next to Iain. I could also see her following a similar path after AoS is done. Some solid roles in smaller movie productions, like being cast in some smaller Joss Whedon passion project or something (not a comicbook blockbuster).
Don't you dare diss Capt. Kirk. Kirk was a product of the direction and acting methods of the day. Just as Fitz is of the here and now. They are both excellent actors. I enjoy them both.

Snooble Nooble yeah, I see how that could be annoying. I personally love that his character is emotional, I think Fitz really shows that it’s okay to cry. I do get that in season one he may have been melodramatic frequently but I honestly think that would be how a lot of people would react thrown into those situations with little physical skills and a lot of concerns for theirs and others well being. I mean I would have been more annoyed had there been danger and him immediately knowing how to respond to it. Of course there’s instincts, but then there’s shooting six people with the skills of an assassin but claiming to have never used a gun. It’s refreshing to see someone so blatant about their remorse or emotions, as opposed to the ‘alpha stereotypes’ only showing remorse or feeling when they want others (typically love interest) to know that they are human and feels things they just hide it.
This show is sooooo underrated. I know the first season is pretty rough, but season 2 was really good, 3 was still good but not as good as 2, and seasons 4&5 were amazing.

He didn't die though
@@Man0War_Loki He did. I know you're referring to the Fitz in outer space btw lol.
@@JaceeEx 🙂
Fitz vs. the Monolith is the most intense battle in the entire series. And the monolith was winning by letting Fitz wear himself out.
I remember all these episodes
This show is sooooo underrated. I know the first season is pretty rough, but season 2 was really good, 3 was still good but not as good as 2, and seasons 4&5 were amazing.
that second scene is when he started to become a badass
A little earlier, with the Arabs. it was when he became a man with nothing to lose
When the framework theme comes on....chillz
and um fitz death was um on fleak so um where's that clip
Maybe he could be the next Bond
The shadowman is still in the summoning key
