When the band was originally formed Jessie leach the white singer was their original singer, but in 2002 I belive is when Howard Jones the black singer became the lead singer of KSE, then again in 2012 Jessie came back as the lead singer. Then in 2019 Jessie and Howard dueted Signal Fire.

Jesse was the original singer for KSE, He left, Howard took over, then he left, then Jesse came back. All still awesome friends.

The first guy singing is Jesse leech. He was the first singer for killswitch but he left later on due to personal reasons. But then they got Howard Jones for the next 3 records then Howard had to leave due to health reasons. Then they got Jesse back for the next 3 albums and then they did this song together for their latest album.
Good explaining nick john, I’ll just add that amongst the fans we had the great Killswitch debate who’s the better singer Jesse vs Howard. For all the talk on who people prefer what does KSE do? A fucking collab. To say this was BIG was an understatement.

Hollywood and Smokey I love you guys, rappers react is fire! Jesse is the original singer of KSE, then followed by Howard (on My Curse), he then left and Jesse re-joined. Jesse and KSE thought it would be a huge tribute to feature Howard on a track. Both singers are phenomenal and KSE will forever be a favorite of mine
I had no idea Howard was going to be on this track! I first heard and saw the video first. When they started showing glimpses of Howard I was like “ is that Howard”?! Then I saw it was him and screamed like a 12 year old and was jumping up and down on my bed like a lunatic 😂😂😂 Killswitch is one of my favorite bands and I love both Jesse and Howard.
If you guys get a chance to be able to see Killswitch live.. DO IT! I’ve seen them 7 times with both Howard and Jesse. You will NOT be disappointed! One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live and I’ve seen more bands than I can count over the years! Every Killswitch song is amazing!!!

I don’t know if you’ve checked out “End of Heartache” from the Howard Jones era, but there’s a live version that is beautiful with plenty of crowd singing along. It’s awesome.

So part of the reason they did this collaboration is because whenever a band switches frontman there's always rumors that get swirled around like "the old singer hates the new singer"....so they came together to put all those rumors to rest (that's why that fist bump before the solo is so epic). Same thing happened to Mushroomhead when J-Mann left and Waylon came in.
Jesse was the original lead vocals. After Howard stepped away from the band because of health issues, Jesse came back to take over

Lol Jesse was the first singer, then Howard came in, and then Jesse came back. Howard has a couple of bands that are amazing. Light The Torch is one of Howard’s bands.
I have seen KSE three times, all with Howard. Looking forward to seeing them once this COVIDNESS is done. They are extremely tight live, they sound amazing. Howard was amazing live and I am sure Jesse will be too.

They brought back the original singer of the band and the other guy has his own band now.
Jesse Leach (the first singer in the vid) was the OG lead vocalist for their first two albums that not only put them on the map, but also basically put the entire genre of melodic metalcore on the map too.
Jesse, due to personal issues, left the band after those two albums.
Howard Jones (the black singer) joined the band for their next 3 outstanding albums, but had to leave for personal and health-related reasons.
Jesse wasn't originally going to come back to the band, but changed his mind when they officially started doing auditions to replace Howard, and he auditioned got the job back.
The backing vocals are almost always done by Adam Dutkiewicz, the guitarist with the pizza guitar.

The dude with the Mohawk aka Jesse is the original singer for Killswitch and he left for medical reasons, then enter Howard (bald brother) and he was with the band for three albums. Then Howard had to leave for medical reasons, and Jesse came back and has been back with them. So basically these two singers came together on their latest album to collaborate together. So for this moment, was a pinnacle for many fans to see Jesse & Howard

Different guys use different kinds of mics, but in the late 90s and early 00s, there was a huge thing of metal singers cupping the entire mic, and it gives it a different sound but it also kinda makes them sound like shit because it's not letting the microphone do its job of noise cancellation and all of that stuff. I see some rappers do that, too, and it kinda drives me nuts. But a thing about the unclean vocals is that usually the people aren't actually doing their vocals that loudly, or else they'll blow out their voices, and they rely on the equipment to bring it up to a level that can be heard over the music.

The reason why Jesse Leach is singing for Killswitch Engage, is because Howard Jones left Killswitch Engage in early 2012 to allow himself to manage his type 2 diabetes which was worsened by a hectic touring lifestyle.
In 2015, Jones revealed that he had struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time, which had been worsened by his rise to fame in Killswitch Engage.
Jesse (white) is the original singer. Left the band. Howard (black) joined. Was in the band for a long time and quit. Jesse ( white) rejoined the band. On their latest album they Howard (black) join in on vocals for this song.
