It really is incredible - I wish i still owned it. This guitar was the OM28JM #250 of 404 (which has the unique 12th fret emblem) but they make a production line version called the OMJM which is very similar and still feels and sounds amazing.
@@TreyDillon I’ve searched for any of the limited originals but none to be seen. Only show previous adverts for when they had one for sale. I might get the production version I saw a few sites with them on sale so they’re more affordable now. What did they cost when you bought yours?
Nice cover. :) This song is my go-to doodle riff whenever I pick up a guitar, but I haven't mastered the vocal part yet. It's on my list of things to do this year.
That’s awesome - it’s a big challenge but you can do it if you get comfortable with the riff. You’ll learn to pick it up again when you miss a phrase and keep the song on track .
@@TreyDillon Thanks for the encouragement. I broke a few ribs mountain-biking last week, so singing is going to be a bit limited (but great rehab) for a few weeks, but I'm gonna get it down. That and the fast ascending run from Sweet Child, before I die, I swear :)
Yeh, that was a special guitar. I owned it for about 8 years I think and then sold it on reverb. The market valued it a little more than I did and I decided to let it go:) To this day the best guitar I've every played and I will absolutely find and purchase another in the future.
You know it’s been a very long time since I learned this. But I recommend getting one decent tab , listening, and watching one decent video. When I learned it there weren’t many videos of Mayer playing it live but I believe there are more surfacing nowadays with the recent tour.

Thanks Caleb! I thought the verses were correct but its been a while since I've studied this song and it could very well be wrong. It should absolutely be played on Electric and not Acoustic so we are missing the cue right off the bat! :)

Thats a good question. I like to palm mute most of the time (especially acoustic) because it can easily start to sound cluttered.
