So good to see Nick doing what he does best in a new EQD video: freaking out and showing us the full potential of experimental pedal usage. I miss the pedals and effects videos with his buddy Juan, those were so much fun to watch.
It's incredible how many sounds can be produced out of a pedal with just 3 knobs. Then when you start messing with volume and tone on your guitar the possibilities go from endless to infinite. Seriously a modern marvel and will go down in history as a "classic" pedal that will still being used decades from now
Nick Reinhart is by far my favorite pedal demo dude. The first show I ever went to was Tera Melos opening up for The Fall of Troy in 2007 and I'll never forget how wild Nick made his guitar sound. He shows how crazy a pedal can get instead of just playing some boring blue riffs through it.
fun demo, very enjoyable. and agreed on all points made. I would only add that the hizumitas is also extremely useful for less-extreme applications. I've very much enjoyed using it with the gain set relatively low as well. I haven't really seen a demo showing that side of it, but it's super useful that way. it is also the single loudest pedal I've ever owned, and I've owned MANY. I can't wait for things to get back to normal and bring this down to the studio with a real drummer. I know that Wata has suggested that it really comes into its own with the volume turned up. I'd like to try that in a venue where turning the volume past 9 o'clock won't cause me to get evicted!
Your dog is more tolerant than my Frenchie. He leaves the room in disgust when I try that shit. I have the pedal, it freaking rocks. It's such a massive muff, it could have been called the Moose Knuckle, but has a super low noise floor.
I've got one of these, and while I can't make it sound as good as Wata or Nick, it's an awesome pedal. Would love to hear EQD's take on an Intersound IVP preamp, ala EAE's Surveyor/Dude Incredible. Just sayin!
It's funny, now when I watch Japanese gear videos I notice them saying "hizu this and hizu that" all the time since it means something to do with gain.

man Fall of Troy was into some good bands back then. they took Daughters on tour with them around that time, too.
I just want more episodes of pedals and effects
Can’t wait for those guys to get back together!
There is such a wide range of excellent possibilities with this pedal. It sounds great.
Sure does
Out of all the guys doing pedal vids nowadays, pedals and effects was THE BEST.
Much love, thanks for the Nirvana tones!
Dammit Pantera this beer is warm! Get me another one!

Wata is such an incredible player. Her skills are not sung highly enough.
I think this pedal raised her profile. Just a bit !!

According to EQD, "hizumi" is Japanese for "distortion," while "tas" is "more."
Boris seems like a super overrated band. Big deal, another fuzz pedal. How original??!!
Thanks for watching!
This thing came out 2 years ago. What a troll and what a dumb comment.
