Hey Josh, well that was a lot of fun. I am impressed by the way you know your way around the forrest areas and all the tracks, local knowledge goes a long way. It looks like your Fabrication has worked as the bike worked well. I do miss seeing the T7...I understand why.... I have my two bikes one for the Big Tour Rides and the 900 for the rides up into the Hills around Adelaide. Thanks Josh! David....Adelaide....Triumph Scramblers 1200X and 900....all for the ride....LOL....
Great vedio Josh. Good to see you ride a little more enduro. Maybe not as crazy like bac 12:26 k in the day. And be good to see you ride whit some of the blokes you ues to ride it whit.
I don't think so mate, but if you go along that way for a bit there used to be another track across the creek that went up a steep ass hill but I see that's all been closed and gated off as well 😖
@@MVDBR if you head west from where the hut was I’m pretty sure it would take you up to Jimna via that large rock you rode up on the old KTM. Of course all gated off now too. I’m meant to be in the Gymp over the next week or so, I’ll text ya
Ive thought about the Raid gas tank on my 690. Not sure about the extra noise and open airfilter. I can go 200 miles in stock form just carrying a fuel bottle.
@MVDBR thank you for your videos I've been watching from the beginning helps me get thru our miserable long Alaskan winter. AUS is on my must do bucket list.
Ahh mega cute seeing a koala 🙂
Awesome spin in the dirt mate, I really wish the 690 wasn't almost 10cm taller than my Tuareg!
I just realised how bad the ground clearance is on the 690 though, even though it's so tall it's only got 270mm of clearance 🙈
@MVDBR yeah, although you can lower it, doing so practically turns it into a roadbike
@@HippoDrones yeah 😓
Brought back some cool memories the first section of the ride😂
Thought it might hahahaha 🤘🤘
That was great seeing the little tree bear thanks Josh
The little flogger had a dirty bum hey, shit himself when he heard the 690 coming 😁😁
Awesome surroundings and even a drop bear, doesn't get much better than that . Cheers 🍻
Drop bear with a dirty bum and slippery clay tracks, what more does a video need 🍻🍻
Ahhhh this takes me back 👌🏼❤️ another banger man
Dude so fucked the rest of that trail is completely closed forever 💩 So many mint swimming spots along there. Cheers legend

I thought I knew that area, amazing how much stuff can change over the years. Cheers 😎

Cheers Mark, yeah nah not as crazy as back in the day 😁 Might end up connecting with some of the old crew 🤞
nice riding looking great fun / cheers Steve/Geraldton
Cheers Steve!
At 11:56 if you turn right have you followed the creek line
up to the old stock man’s hut? I think it’s burnt down now though

Yeah I dunno I do like the easier air filter access but I probably wouldn't bother with the tank if the bike didn't have it when I got it 🤷
Did that come out down by the creek near the charlie moreland overflow area or is it atill closed down there?
Yeah from there through to Charlie Moreland is permanently closed now, there is a way around but it's shit compared to the old track 😓
yeeewwww
🍻🍻
are the oil changes like the EXC or longer intervals ?
1 is about every 10000ks the other 1 is every 15-20 hours . Guess which is which
@@Wayne-Kerr_Rudy-Zarzoffso the same then.
@@dougiep8464 6000 mile oil changes on 690. About every 2 rides on the 500.
690 is nothing like the 500.
@dougiep8464 pretty much

2nd to view and 1st to comment... YAY !! :P

My wife and I miss seeing your wife riding with you.
Really dude? Come on man I've been divorced for over 2 years now 🤦
Your thinking of the Kernables. That guy rides with his wife and buddies.
@@MVDBR I'm sorry I really didn't know. Sharing your rides is what got my wife wanting to ride on her own bike. She rides a gs650.
