2:58 hiii... I just purchased a shotgun tge ati etro 12g. I installed a 5 combo scope and then 1 if the nuts snaped shame on me. I got a replacement nut from the hardware store and my buddy that shoots a 30-06 rifle order a previous mount from the gun store and basically said because my real was hanging off the I guess off picatinny rail by one bolt so only 1 bolt was holding on and the other was off completely. I'm new to mounts... so when I tried using the 5 combination scope with its regular small picatinny mount I tried to move the main 12g shotgun rail back but guess I gotta do sum gun smithing which not trying to do but if I have to then it is what it is but as a easy way out. My stock shotgun mount picatinny rail has I believe a dove tail on the bottom which I love because then I kow its straight and balanced but I seem to cant find as I think and measured mine is a 8 real hole/teeth/groove length and I'm looking for since ita about 5fingers long short so I believe its like a 11 to 13 picatinny rail and if I gotta drill holes to match up to the shotguns already pre drill holes and thread thats fine because that bottom teeth/groove/dovetail will grab the shotguns rail then I can you know add a mount/scope/red dot etc... imma finish watching this video but my question is those teeth/grooves on the bottom of the picatinny rail those are dovetail right and if I got a set that had a quick release or hex key or star nut type with that setup would that hurt the stock dovetail on my 12g shotgun including when I mount my scope and to stay zero in if I didn't use the screws to screw the I believe dovetail to picatinny rail to the base of the shotgun and used the hex screws on the side then threaded lock it. Thanks and any fast response would help
@@KevinMillard68 ohhh thank you but even with a pellet gun to a shotgun the components are still thr same. Thats like saying picatinny rail aint the same on the bb gun, pellet rifle compared to a real gun or real rifle those components are still the same and use the same parts... so what all those rifles or firearms on your wall. Are those toys or real because Dame nice looking collection you got there but if those are pellet and bb guns Dame you gotta invest in a real rifle or real gun
I just mounted a UTG dovetail to picatinny adapter on my Gamo and it seems like it’s not level meaning... putting a scope on it looks like it gradually raises toward the scope objective. Not sure if it’s just my eyes playing tricks but I’ll know tomorrow when I mount my scope. I’m thinking I should take off that Gamo recoil reducing rail and mount it directly to the Gamo receiver dovetail. I think it’s too much elevation for a Hawke 3-9x40 AO... I hate the Gamo dovetail’s because of that rounded profile on top
