I recently received my Benchmade Turret knife & its perfect for self defense, axis lock is smooth & fits in my hand great. Knife arrived flawless. I know it may not be for everyone due to the size, but this will be my new EDC for work & at home. My old EDC was a ZT 0300 which I had and carried for years. I like the knife so much, that I purchased both the satin & serrated blade Turret’s as well.
DavidMN DavidMN I agree that their recent new models are quite plain and boring, often just making slight changes and call it a different model, this turret is definitely starting to look like a classic benchmade knife like the 940 once is, I just wished they had come up with some new steel for the new models Though...
GPKNIVES yeah I agree there are still a couple of iconic knives by benchmade in the last two years like the bug out and the triage, but the gold age when Osborne, bob lum, and some of other designers made models like 940, barrage, etc, you know, back in those days you pop on their website there are so many knives you feel like buying, but today you go there the knives just don't have the same appeal... In fact they discontinued many of their good looking knives for whatever reason... Today They may be still practical but just not sexy like they used to be...
Very strong but very smooth at the same time. Personally my all time favorite folder is the Cold Steel Recon 1 but on that folder I have to modify the pocket clip to be able to use. Now this Benchmade is silk smooth.
I'm not a huge fan of aggressive jimping but there isn't anything I'd have to change on this knife for it to work perfectly for my EDC. I still like the "Super Freek" more but the Turret is like an ultralight tank: fast yet robust.
Glad you like it. I don't really need a knife as "tactical" as this one but I dig the design. Fits well in the Black Class category while still being capable of EDC. Thanks for watching.
Agreed. I wasn't sure about this one until I got it in hand but it has really grown on me. Is it tactical? Is it EDC? The answer to both is a resounding yes!
Just picked one up. Only gripe is that G10 slabs are kinda slick. Contour with ridges doesn't really improve the grip much... Otherwise, a very nice piece...
Correct! We got the satin plain edge in just as this video was being published. Black Class models are always released as Black/Serrated first which is fitting for their tactical framework.
Holy hell, when Tyler showed the clip side of the Rift’s blade, my jaw almost hit the floor. Does anyone else see the horrible chatter marks on the edge from the grinder? I’m stunned anyone would let that leave the factory.
I think what you are seeing there is are the grind lines not "chatter". Benchmade has typically done a coarser finish on their edges than some other companies which give more aggressive slicing. Once it is used and sharpened it won't look the same anyway.

It is a very nice knife. Glad you like it and thanks for watching!
nice choice.. love mine.
Benchmade is getting better
This is still nowhere near as nice as their 90's and early 2000 models. Absolutely pathetic for a brand in 2019 with modern machining processes.

Excellent knife.

Ergos do more for me than heavy texture on the handles. This G10 has about the same texture as a G10 Griptilian.
IM GETTIN MINES TODAY!!! 7/9/19
Nice! Enjoy it.
They recently discontinued the plain edge noncoated blade
Big surprise, now they have just this one
😢
Liking this one
Me too. Thanks for watching.
Id like the non serrated version which I think isn’t a coated blade

Is it assisted?
No, the Turret is a fully manual folder. Thanks for watching.
