I've been doing the royal court since 2004! Thank you Sifu you helped me heal myself after the Marine Corps injuries. I feel great and im 50 now and still doing them!!!
Just found your channel recently after picking up Psycho-Cybernetics for the 2nd time. Not only that, I started the Royal Court only a few days ago so the content is extremely helpful. Many thanks, Matt!
@@mattfureysays7710 Sir Matt, can I ask a small little question? Between feet together divebomber push ups and regular push ups, which will increase strength and muscle mass more? I can do 53 full rom push ups and only 17 divebomber push up (the one where you do Hindu push up followed by a reverse of Hindu push up, which is a rep).
Hi Matt, I had a personal trainer a few years back, and he was concerned about the knee injuries. His recommendation was to have the knee aligned with the top of the tows. Any comments?
Is there a way to progress into or work into the Hindu squat if you have bad balance/poor ankle mobility? I bought Combat Conditioning over 20 years ago and didn’t for quite a while, but fell out of the habit. I’d like to get back to it, but due to some injuries (which have healed) I now have poor ankle mobility, tight calves and poor balance. Every time I try to do a Hindu squat the ankles feel unsupported and I feel like I’m gonna go ass over teakettle. How can I begin again?
Why not pull yourself down using your posterior chain instead of just dropping? When changing levels, aren't you pulling yourself down or pushing yourself up?
I've purchased most of your stuff but still don't know is I'm doing the "Hindu pushup" correctly? Maybe you did a video on it and I missed it?? The photos in your book didn't really show ALL of it continuously!
Hey matt, thanks for this vid. I got a quick question, whats a good warm up for the knees before doing squats? any good stretches? I feel like my knees are kind of tense sometimes when I do squats.
I've noticed a distinct improvement with center balance bringing the arms closer in and fist at lower peck level, with just a subtle snap. Relaxing into the squat feels more natural! For some reason, it feels like cheating if there's no controlled resistance on the drop. My gratitude Shifu, for demonstrating the proper technique!
Is it my imagination but in some of the newer videos it looks like you rotated your feet more to 11:00 and 1:00 and you drive up more through your heels then your toes?
Push through the bubbling sprint point, not the heels. As for foot placement, years ago, I used to teach toes straight ahead. Now I recommend placing them at 1-2 o’clock (right) and 10-11 o’clock (left).
If you’re doing it, then it must be positive in the different ways it hits the body. Feels like it’s easier on my lower back too. Thanks for the reply. Take care
Matt I am a huge fan and I have a few questions. What is better, one arm push ups (ffetbshoulder width and no wider) or two arm push ups, for maximum muscle and strength gains? I currently focus on one arm one leg push ups strongfirst style. I can do 6 reps before failure per arm. Which got me inhumanly strong for my bodyweight, in the dumbbell bench press. And what is the best push up variation, for wrestling and overpowering another human being? Is it the rammurti Dand (divebomber push up with feet together) or something else? And if I simply keep getting my max reps of push ups higher, will that keep making me stronger? Regardless of how many reps I can already do?
@@mattfureysays7710 That's very kind of you. I appreciate that... I also wanted to ask, whether rammurti dands aka divebomber push ups build pecs and pressing strength as well as normal push ups.

That’s typical misinformation.
Great information. Thanks a lot!
Excellent video
Yes sir! Awesome info Mr Furey.
Thank you.
Excellent video. I have to ask. Do you even know what a plethora is? Hope you get the movie reference
I do and yet I am unaware of the movie reference. Ugh.

So drop on the way down and not bounce back on the way up? Rising up is controlled am I right?

Yes

My pleasure.
Great Gama the Indian wrestler use to do this Hindu squats 5,000 every day so he has great legs strength..
Between this and the club swinging, pretty sure he could rip a bear in half..😅
'arms chopped-off', I hate when that happens... "Genie-ass" 😂
Is it correct if my cue is "ass to heel"?
Sure. That’s fine.

Good stuff. If you ain't doing the Hindu squat, you're doing diddly squat!
When doing Hindu Squats, should i raise my calves as high as i can?
Not as high as you can. Raise your heels naturally as you descend.
@@mattfureysays7710I was doing this wrong for so long I also tried to raise as high as possible and it effected my speed of the exercises as well
