Thanks for the tour and sad to see the trip wrap up. We spent a day there a few years ago, we had the same issue as you did extremely windy we were actually supposed to camp there but ended up backing out and getting a hotel near Carlsbad. Still cool to see the park once again, it has to be one of the most underrated National Parks in the country. Looking forward to seeing where ya head next!
I completely agree about this being an underrated national park. You just don't hear much about it, and there were so many amazing trails. I can't imagine trying to camp in a tent with what the wind was like when we were there. Sounds like you made the right call getting a hotel.
This place is truly delightful, with its beautiful hike and rugged, scenic trails. The formation of the rocks into a staircase is a fascinating sight! It’s indeed a wonderful spot for adventures. Thanks for sharing my friend 👍
I want to visit Guadalupe Mountains, hopefully on better weather conditions. I also love visiting old settlements, hopefully with the cold weather rattlesnakes are on their burroughs and won't cause any issues to visitors.
Great video. Looks like a very good choice for a windy day. Hiking to the peak would be very scary in that kind of wind especially when you get near the top. Have a great day!!!👍👍😊
Thanks so much. The park ranger was super helpful because we weren't sure if the Devils Hall trail would even work in the wind. Once we got through that first section of the trail, the winds were more blocked and really died down.
I enjoyed your hikes! We went in mid-May, and it was too hot to do the Devils Hall trek. We did enjoy the ranch on our visit 😊 It's an interesting National Park
Great to join you on your visit to Guadalupe Mountains NP. We haven’t visited and I haven’t seen many hiking videos from there…. Really pretty environment and plants…it is definitely on my wish list. Too bad about the winds, but seems like they didn’t slow you down. The hike and Devil’s Hall area are really captivating… so interesting to see the rock layers and formations. Too bad you had such a long day getting home… glad it all worked out in the end! 👌👍👍😄 - Jen
We felt the same way about Guadalupe. We never really heard much about it. There were so many options for challenging hikes up to several peaks, but not an option in the wind. If you visit, maybe avoid the windy season 😀 Getting home was an adventure, but we made it.
Wow, what a beautiful trail! I didn't know too much about Guadalupe Mountains NP before this, so thank you for sharing! Adding this hike to our list 🙂 (that list is getting delightfully long haha)
Glad you liked us keeping it real. Sometimes the internet makes things seem perfect when in reality things don't always go that way. We had to laugh when we finally got the flight home in time for our kids to have a school snow day.
Climbing over those rocks looked awesome. I don’t know how anyone could think this was a moderate trail. I see why they changed it. I think it would be cool to see a flood coming down. From a safe distance of course. The view looked really cool from inside the canyon. What a great trip. Too bad about the constant flight cancellations. 👍
It was actually pretty fun climbing over all the rocks and trying to navigate the easiest path through. Yes, changing the rating to difficult seems more accurate. It was just so dry here. The only water we saw was at that little spring we showed in the first part of the video. Yea, the flight cancellations were not too fun - but it worked out in the end.
Great video! I have taken rt 62 through Texas, but never went to Guadalupe National Park, so it was a treat to see your video! Flight delays seem to be increasingly common nowadays, I really don't know why, but I am sure the trip was worth it.
All of our flight delays were caused by winter weather in Dallas and then also up and down the East Coast. I guess it's what can happen when you fly in the winter. The trip was still so worth it! Thanks for your comment.
Crazy trail😊
Totally - but that's what made it fun.
Extraordinary Adventure! I like these rugged and scenic hikes! It was cool to see how the rocks formed a staircase!
This was one of the more challenging trails that we have hiked lately. We all had a good sense of accomplishment after finishing this one.
Such a wonderful series of videos. The views and landscaping are amazing 😊
Yes, this park is so wild and beautiful.
Terimakasih sudah berbagi vidio yang sangat bagus ini 👍👍
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel
Wow! Beautiful view! Thanks for sharing.

I simply like these rugged and scenic trails, this looks phenomenal.
Yes, it was very wild and rugged here. This is a place I can picture you hiking in.
Absolutely amazing 👍
Thank you. It was quite a workout, but an awesome hike.
Looked like a really fun hike. Very cool area.
Hiking over all those rocks was actually really fun and it was great to get out of the wind.
9:35 great final video guys ❤❤❤❤
Thank you. We really loved seeing this last park and enjoyed the hike we did.
Beautiful ❤ and great summary 🎉 thanks for sharing❤🎉
Thanks for watching
Wonderful place! Enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you. This was a fun hike for our family.
This looked like a fun hike in there to the Hall😁
Sounds like the awful trip home...yikes😱😱
Oh yea, not a fun experience getting home. We said we don't want to fly for a long time, and that works out good because it's not in the budget, haha.

Yes, we thought the rock staircase was really neat looking too..thanks for your thoughtful comment!

Yes, maybe you can go during the non-windy season.
Liked and full watch. Well done 🍀👍
Thank you. We really enjoyed this national park.
Wonderful National Park 😍 The mountain and around are amazing. Awesome video captures. Enjoyed it, thanks for sharing it! 👍
Yes, the mountains are so impressive looking here. Such a beautiful place.
Wonderful nature you got there.Enjoyed watching all the big rocks ❤
The rocks and rock formations along the Devil's hall trail were just amazing.
Wonderful video my friend.
Thanks. Have a great day
Awesome spot!
Thanks! 👍

Thank you. Were the winds less strong in May?
@hikingoutdoorfamily Not much wind. There was a tornado warning when we were at the caverns. It was hot for May, I thought
@@nationalparksprincess3216 Yea, I don't think I'd want to hike this trail if it was really hot. Not much shade.
Thanks for the insight! It’s on my visit list! 😊😊
You will enjoy this one. Hopefully you can avoid the windy season.
@@hikingoutdoorfamily oh ok 👌
I would have loved the farm and spring in its day! The pond and then the pool of water in the rocks were my favoritw to see! What an amazing climb. :)
Yes, isn't it interesting to imagine what life must have been like to live at that little ranch?

Yes, I feel like Guadalupe Mountains is an underrated park. If you visit and it's not windy, there are also several other great hikes up to peaks.
This is one of the places I want to visit
This park was great and unlike some of the other national parks, this one was not crowded at all.
Very cool! We are hoping to do this hike later this year!
You will really enjoy it. This park was so uncrowded when we visited, so that was refreshing compared to some national parks.
I don’t know if Chris and I will ever get out there, but it looked amazing. 🤗
It was such a wild and beautiful place. Appreciate you commenting and watching.
The Devils Hall portion reminded me of the terrain near Petra in Jordan. Terrific video, and thanks for keeping it real. Thanks for sharing.

@hikingoutdoorfamily if they were like most kids, they were completely thrilled, I'm sure.
@@LumberjackPa They were so happy.
