Hi Luke, I really enjoyed the video and your willingness to allow us to see all your shots - the great, the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm sure your golf was relatable for most of us who watch your channel. I know it was relatable to me. The challenging course, because you didn't know it well, and the conditions seemed to contribute to you not scoring as well as you can. Your 2nd shot on the tough 16th was fantastic and the way you played the 9th with your second ball was terrific. I'm sure you'll get down to the elusive single digit handicap in the not too distant future. All the best!
Thanks for watching Gary! Appreciate your comments on it being relatable and the kind words about 9 and 16! Always a little more difficult playing a course you haven’t played for 6+ years and also a little added pressure being on camera! The more I do it though the more comfortable I’ll get! Hopefully you felt the emotional rollercoaster that I was feeling during the round! All the best! 👍🏼
"It's the hope that kills you". Exactly. I just found your channel. I enjoy you documenting the brutal reality of mid handicap golfing. It's a very mental game that wore me down.
Hi SuperMonkeyBeans! Thanks for watching and relating to the video! Haha! The added pressure of playing on camera is still something I’m getting used to! I hope you come back and watch again in the future! All the best! 👍🏼
A very well done video Luke. That looks like a challenging layout for all levels of golfers. Show us more of these course vlogs, I find them enjoyable, and would love to see you play to your true potential. Watching from Upstate New York, USA.
Hi Petro! Thanks for watching and I’m glad you found it enjoyable! I’ve already filmed a second one at a stunning top 100 golf course that should land in two weeks and I’m filming another one tomorrow at a course that holds some special memories for me so I’ll keep on making them whilst the weather allows! Also it still blows my mind that people in the USA watch my content - thank you for your support! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpro Well it is after all the worldwideweb haha. Us Yanks love golf almost as much as you guys. I'm subscribed to creators from a couple continents, and think it's cool to chat with you all. I think I found your channel while watching ball reviews. Subscribed immediately and have been enjoying your top notch content ever since. Talk to you later Luke.
Great video Luke. Your game was up and down like a brides nighty. Hit some great shots and some that need improvement. Course looked very dry ( like the courses here in Thailand) so very difficult for yardage. After seeing all your videos in the studio, was really good to see you out on the course.
Thanks John! Your summary of my game really made me laugh! A great summary! Haha! I think playing on camera, a course I’ve not played for 6+ years and the conditions all didn’t help me shoot my best score but the emotional rollercoaster hopefully makes it relatable and fun to watch! 👍🏼🤣
Whenever I play a course I don't know well, I score 3 or 4 strokes higher due to not knowing the greens or lay of the land. It was also quite windy for you => I thought you hit some terrific shots. Keep working on the chipping! Interested to hear your views on LAB putter
Thanks @gerdamarsh! Appreciate you watching and for your positive comment! Yeah you have the benefit of no scar tissue at all new course but I think that’s outweighed by not fully knowing your way around or the good/bad misses! Spot on re: the wind too, sometimes that doesn’t come across as much on camera but it was certainly stronger than I’d choose for filming a course vlog haha! Regarding the LAB, I love it, I’ve used it for 4-5 rounds now and the more I get used to it the better I’m putting. Whilst that might not show up immediately in the data, it’s definitely there in terms of confidence over 3-4 footers and holing the odd longer putt that I am used to! It just feels like I’m going to hit so many more putts on my intended start line… and I love how it feels off the face. The only negative is it’s probably exposing my weaknesses in green reading as I was probably holing the odd putt through a misread counteracted by a poor stroke. But I’d rather that in as it’s something to work with! I’ll be doing a full review on it shortly! Thank you for watching! 👍🏼
Hi Reyno9la! Thanks for watching! Regarding Billy, I do keep trying to get him to do a 6-9 hole matchplay with me! Maybe when his season has finished we will get him to! I’ll show him this so he knows people would like it! 👍🏼
Hi Richard! I’ve got a What’s In The Bag video live on my channel from a few weeks ago. Everything in that video is what I’m using, except for the putter as I talked through on the 12th green! Check it out and let me know if you’ve got any follow up questions! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼
Late to seeing this. Like your ball reviews a great deal. I’m still early in the video so maybe you mention this later but what ball ( and clubs) are you playing?
Hi Tim! Thanks for watching! I have a What’s in the bag video on my channel that talks this through in great depth (take a look as it’s filmed on my home golf course!). But in short: Driver, 5 Wood, 7 Wood and 4/5 Hybird are all Ping G430’s with a mix of shafts. Irons are Mizuno JPX923 Forged, wedges are Vokey SM9’s and the ball is the Wilson Staff Model - the putter you’ll hear more about on hole 12 when you get there!
Hi Steve! Not going to lie I’ve always been keen to try one but I think it was just a bad day. I’ve done a bit of practice since and back to chipping it a lot better! Hopefully future videos will show that! 👍🏼
Hi Torbjørn! Thanks for watching! Yeah not my best day on the course! Strange how much added pressure I put on myself to try and hit good shots and show what I’m capable of! Definitely don’t feel as confident over shots that expose my ‘weaknesses’! Thanks for watching! Hope it was fun to watch! 👍🏼
Just come across this video, first time seeing your channel. The golf had its highs and lows but i thought the video and audio was really well done and a very consistent presentation. Ill definitely be keeping an eye out for more content, esp as im just starting my own golf journey @the_rough_golfer
Hi NothingOnEvents! Thanks for watching and for your comment! I’m glad you appreciated the video presentation/editing! Trying to create entertaining content when it’s one man and a camera (and a drone!) is always my biggest challenge but I really do put a lot of time and effort into the edit so really glad someone recognised that! Congratulations on starting your journey! Is that your name on TH-cam or other social media channels? I’ll check you out! Let me know! 👍🏼

NICE YO SEE SOMEONE PLAYING GOLF LIKE MOST OF US
Thanks for watching David! And for your comment! Hopefully you could relate to the emotional rollercoaster of it! 👍🏼

Thank you! appreciate you watching! 👍🏼
great view of the course
Thanks Alan! Not my best golf but first time playing 18 holes on camera for nearly a year so I'll take it under the circumstances! Hope you are well?

Good fun Luke! What clubs and ball are you using today? Thanks

You should put a chipper in the bag, maybe you could have saved a few shots.
Hi Steve! Not going to lie I’ve always been keen to try one but I think it was just a bad day. I’ve done a bit of practice since and back to chipping it a lot better! Hopefully future videos will show that! 👍🏼
Really enjoyed watching you play! We seem to struggle with the same kind of things. Hope to meet you some day, and play a few rounds with you 🙂👏🏌️⛳️
