Consider using the same fuel with 15% nitro and 18% oil. And... What the diameter and pitch of the propeller you used in the OS .40 engine? Thanks!
I’ve used an OS plug type F on my OS46 ax without problems , on the LA you might try it , regarding prop. A 10x6 or 10.5x6 are best, you can also use an 11x6 but it will loose some top rpm.
Where can I get 1 of them stands like u have iam new to the gas engine I have been all electric. So I got a O.s 40 La thats blue. Used and about to try and get it running and I just got 2 more I got with planes I got but dont know what they are
I just looked and 1 engine is a ASP with a number 329 on the side away from pipe and 8811 on the other side buy the pipe so don't know the size then ive got a brat 28. Are either of them good motors
The os 40 la is a damn good engine, can't go wrong..
Just got a old Robbe Porter with this OS LA40 engine and I will ultrasone clean it and try it.

Hey David, Ive got an OS 762 muffler to use up on a .40 size OS. Will it choke it or enhance it?

What kind of gas do you use with that engine
What is the Meter gage ur using?

it's pink so it is either Morgan's Omega 5% or 10%.
