The thing is Kyle Mayers is like DJ Bravo. They are very talented bowlers. They both are great at swinging the ball. Bravo was a test alrounder in England and took 6 wkts in an innings. Mayers played against England in WI and took 5 wkts in an innings. The thing is DJ made the adjustment to t20 by out thinking the batsmen and developing a deceptive slower ball. He developed great variety. Mayers had no such weapon and depends primarily on swing when there is no movement he is ineffective because he has not developed the variety like DJ. Bravo's batting fell back because he put all his effort into bowling. In terms of his batting Mayers has more to offer than Bravo did but he probably has to consider no longer being an opener and should experiment with being a finisher or coming in the middle.
