The road is a typical Bahamas track but perfectly passable. A bit bumpy, but a 4x4 is not needed. The destination is worth it. Have fun there, it is a little bit of heaven on earth.

Hey Ryan, that is a great question; one which we have discussed so many times. I think it comes down to what lifestyle you want. For us, the best balance between island life, the most stunning beaches and access to things like restaurants it would be central or southern Eleuthera. But hey, anywhere in the Bahamas is a dream place to live. We will be back next year after a Far East trip and are looking at perhaps some long term options.
@@sarandipitytravel Wow, that gives me a smile, we have a place in central Eleuthera (Double Bay) and it does have a great balance! We have school age children so can't live there year round, but it is perfect for extended getaways. If you have any questions about the area I'd be happy to share. Starlink internet should be available there by the end of this month!

Is that road to galloways beach in a descent condition or do you have to maneuver through huge potholes very slowly?
