I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis at 26. Before birth I had appeared thick in shoulders and thighs which was in 3rd trimester. Was put on levothyroxine. Sorry spelling. At this moment I can't remember whst the nurse told after I had literally pushed out my daughter. I recall her saying, " did you know you had....." I have no idea. Derealization was extreme for 5 months after birth that was why I went in endocrinologist. My daughter suffered from constant digestive issues. Now I am 47 I have just been diagnosed with Graves Disease, deficiencies in vitD, potassium and iron, high monocytes. I started making the connection after my mother had took her life, she had dementia. But we all suffered from anxiety, supposedly. Now after requesting my daughter to get her thyroid checked, she is 18. She has hyperthyroidism, vit D deficiency and high glucose also. So I am making the connection between a life
Long diagnosis of general anxiety disorder, taking Celexa, Trazadone. My mother also took SSRI. my daughter has expressed mental health imbalances, and derealization. I understand serotonin in the gut, leaky gut, is one cause. When my mother was pregnant with me I recall her telling me how small she was. I also suffered extreme gut issues as a child, indigestion.
