It's great to know that this house will be restored. One of the quirks of restoration is the profile of modern molding versus pre industrial revolution molding. The profile has been changed for the tooling of today. Hand planes of different profiles are the only way to get correct trim and window mullions. It takes a little while, but producing molding by the same method of the original time is very rewarding.
lol it’s an early American treasure! There are only a so many houses built in the 1700’s still left and they all need to be preserved. Thank you so much for watching

"Structurally sound"? That house is 250 years old and still standing, so that says a lot about its soundness. It's a bit of history, worthy of saving.
