I always wanted a Redline bike back in the 70's no way that I could afford one or get one for Christmas, my bike was al la carte. Swap meet bits. I still loved it and rode it every day.
Great to see another 80s classic bike build. My mate had a redline when we raced here in the uk. Bet he wished he still had it. Nice bike, harvester bikes. Mark UK.
Another beautiful build! So this would have been before RL Osborn switched to the Peregrine offset mags, yes? Always preferred the Skyway 5 spokes though...I was thoroughly pissed when I ordered my GT Pro Performer that was supposed to come with Skyway 5 spokes and instead they sent those offset 6 spoke mags which were horrible. I traded mine for some Araya spoke rims which looked WAY better on the PP. KEEP MAKING THESE GREAT VIDEOS! They make me feel like I'm 15 again!
I bought a brand new one of those back when I used to race. I think my handle bars were different and it had Araya wheels with regular spokes. Loved that bike.
Funny when I would go to the swap meets back in 73 looking for parts for my BMX bike, I found an Araya front wheel, it was the lightest rim he had, and I never bent it, a one in million find.
@@MrKydaman real cool. ya i love bmx. i am gonna start racing again this june. first time in 20 years. and i will document it all on my channel. i make flatland videos. i am mainly a flatland freestyle guy but getting back into racing also.
So what’s the best way to adjust these bulldog brakes? I have both tools from park tool, the 4 in 1 thin wrench and the one with the hook to move the spring in the brake. Iv got it somewhat but def think there’s room for improvement. I heard greasing the contact points when assembling the brake helps the movement .. just wondering since this obv isn’t your first rodeo lol. Thanks for all the enjoyment
Very cool! Brings back memories of my youth.
Brings me back to my teens .I still love to build BMX bikes and I'm 49 years old .Great video and a beautiful looking bike .Great job

@@MOUNTAINOUS That's awesome. I've known about your channel for years bro.
@@MrKydaman thanks man.
Use a vinyl squeegee, work from the middle of the decal up and down equally towards the edges. No bubbles.
nothing brings back nostalgia to me like skyway mags, or in australia we called them tuffs
Looks great! 👍👉
Amazing bike build man
I still got one
Great vid

My redline was almost the same as this one. Mine had some kinda handle above my back breaks . Maybe for grabbing during a stunt I think????
Sweet build. Let me know if you ever decide to sell it.

What's a free wheel and how does it work compared to a more modern day Hub.
