I believe Johnny or Alex mentioned in one of the Q&As that they were being random with the case numbers this time, but who knows, even that could have been to throw people off :)
One thing that caught me, because Johnny is not a writer who puts things in for no reason, is that Sam accidentally checks the box for "Incident Response" during the onboarding paperwork. I think that's going to come up again and be a Thing, maybe what ends up setting things in motion.

    - I'm pretty certain Augustus is Jonah Magnus- the third voice actor whose listed role is distorted is Tim Fearon, who is older than the other VA's, so it would make a lot of sense for him to voice Jonah's original voice-especially considering that the body Jonah was inhabiting - Elias's - was destroyed/killed during 200. Perhaps his consciousness was dragged along with the fears and Jon and Martin?
    - In the ARG, there was a German usenet forum where one member found something out about 'an institute' and told the rest of the forum that information put him in danger- maybe this os related ro the german code Colin finds?
-What if the spelunking forum was the same one Danny Stoker used?
-In the second statement they mention alchemy symbols, which seem to be important to the new fears dichotomy. There were also 'strange symbols' on the walls of the institute
    - Did that guy gorge his eyes out or find ones while spelunking? Cause I've seen a few people theorise that red canary may have become Jonah's new host- and there is some support for this. Say that the institute burned bc Gertrude succeeded in her plan after finding out that Elias was Jonah in 1997. Then, if he survived the fire, he might not want to leave bc other avatars would find and come after him outside of his domain. So, he lies in wait for a victim, and finds one in RedCanary. There's also the point that if the institute burned that doesn't necessarily mean the panopticon, and thus, Jonahs body, burned, so he may still be alive in this verse- and that might leave us with TWO Jonahs in this verse. Eek.
    - I also noticed that Sam doesn't react during the statements- we can't hear anything outside of the narration. Interestingly, in the transcript notes, it gives a note for location during these statements as 'cyberspace'. This could just be for better listener experience but I imagine it will have an explanation like in TMA with everyone's emotional narration.
    - When Sam calls the institute a 'blast from the past' I think he's referring to the time he spent there as a child (Alice and Gerry Keay apparently went there too) the question is, why would he look upon it so fondly if he was being put through inhumane experiments?
Final note: COLIN KNOWS SOMETHING and I have not seen nearly enough people talking about it

Sam's connection to the Institute for sure makes me question if all of them have a connection somehow.
I missed the ARG completely, so I have some studying up to do before next week's episode!

I am greatly enjoying the Magnus Protocoll.
Here are things that I found intersting :
After the Casement with Canary at the Magnus Institut Sam says Something along those lines that it is a blast from the past
Its also really interesting reading the transcript because you can get a little more nuggets of info.
It for exaple describes Lena's Office.
But the most interesting thing about the transcript is that it is telling you where we are listening from. Some can be easily deduced by the Episode like that we are in the Workstation Computers at the OIAR. Like Collin daid he knows that Something is listening. But we are also in other things when listening like:
    -managers speaker phone
    -cctv
    -alice's phone
    I find this really interesting.
There is a lot of Potential forshadowing but I dont want to write all of it down right now. Some may just be fleshing out the world.

It's interesting that The Eye doesn't seem to be present when the "statements" are made and yet they're still well articulated (the forum one is an outlier due it not being a single person speaking or writing). The second episode seems to be a blend of Slaughter and Flesh: the way the tattoo gun and the sudden pain are described seems very deliberate while the whole issue with body image and trying to make yourself "perfect" is very much The Flesh (also being able to alter skin to instantly heal a tattoo sounds like a Flesh-related ability). Maybe there's a little Spiral mixed because of the weird colours and the connection between the artist and her painting (a blurring of what is real and what isn't).

my personal interpretation of the reanimation case was that it was a pure stranger case. the "shadows conceal" line really feels more stranger than dark to me as it is mentioned many time in TMA that "the Stranger conceals" (one example I can think of is in ep 100 Another Twist where Micheal says "the dark hides, and the stranger conceals, but I lie" (I think i dont fully remember)).
I know that smirks fourteen doesn't exactly fully exist, but I like to see this (going back to Gerry's color metaphor) like a dark red, it has a bit of black in it, but it is still mostly red, and you would still call it red if asked.
other than that, great video, and I'm exited to see more the the TMA universe! (or multiverse technicaly)

I feel you on the waiting, although l started having to wait each week halfway through season 5. Was glad l caught up before the end though. Looking forward to being able to watch as everyone else does this time!
Just saw your episode 5 review so though I'd check out your other reviews. I'll keep an eye 👁 out for further videos from you!

"Reanimation is interesting because they know it's a thing that happens"
I'd argue not necessarily. It doesn't need to be a concrete phenomenon to have a category, just needs to be a theme

i don’t have much in the way of theories yet (outside of the basic ones, i.e. chester and norris are jon and martin, augustus is jonah, etc) but i’ve been writing down every single name, date, address, and anything else that sounds important. the section in episode 1 with the usernames on the forum killed my hand 😭

Well, with regards to the symbol being the table box. The table boxes most defining feature it's it's hypnotic pattern. Describing a shape pattern as a symbol doesn't really make sense. We should keep in mind that artifact storage was stated to have been quite extensive in the magnus archives, no reason this box (in another universe no less) can't be an entirely new artifact.

I had always thought Ushanka was Russian, but that could just be me guessing from the name, even if it isn't directly him there's a lot of Binary in the idea of something watching from the computer!

Like Gerry said, they’re like colors! You can have blue, you can have green, but you can also have a blue-green, and that blue green can be more darker or lighter than another blue-green, etc.

I am truely sorry to take the wind out of your sails, but as far as I am aware, Jurgen Leitner *Insert meme rant here* is stated to be Norwegian.
HOWEVER. We do know that Jonah Magnus had ties to the von Clausen family (more specifically Albrecht von Clausen, who Marie Key claims to be decended from) as we learn in that episode entitled "Schwarzwald"
Also sorry for my lack of ...Well, basic grammar skills
