I found out about pressa years ago when “novocane” came out. Be rocking ever since. I hate that when people don’t know who you are they try to play you. As you see he’s been co-signed and did tracks with major artist. Like he said “ y’all don’t know me” but in Toronto I’m a legend!!! And what he survived to make it out and get to this point is beyond major. Great things coming his way🤝

You gotta respect Pressa for one thing: he's the only street rapper from Toronto to make it out the hood. Everyone else either dead or in jail or unable to visit the US. Also in case you don't know, Toronto is a very dangerous city for street rappers that's almost impossible for them to break out of. Their hoods are projects, just like in cities like Chicago or New York, and they have many Jamaican and Somali steppers who you don't want to be on the wrong side of, to say the least
Another kind of systemic racism in Canada: young black men don't have a second chance or finessed it out of the hood.
@@nmznjc9858 exactly. Many concert halls in Toronto refuse to book local talent for that exact reason. Drake seems to get special treatment though because his music is so soft that it makes many racist white people feel comfortable with rap. That and he's signed to Wayne's record label
When you make a reputation for yourself based around violent criminality, don't be surprised when businesses don't want to take the risk. It's pretty cringe to call it systemic racism. Actions have consequences. No one is entitled.

It's Toronto, there are plenty of opportunities to succeed in life without being a criminal. I understand some people are exposed to it at a young age and they grow up around it, and that's sad. But these are not innocent people. Can't fault a venue owner for not wanting the risk of violence at their establishment. If mans would make music about something other than actual murder and drug dealing and human trafficking then they might get a different reception.
