Shaun had some right strength to do this right after his brother's passing. Bez still going strong, giving that wonderful audience interaction, legend. And let's take a minute to really appreciate the musical quality of this band. While to many, Shaun may appear to be a crap singer, he gave an relatable, party element to the music that not many artists can successfully achieve. Mark Day and Gaz Whelan are incredibly underrated, and their musical sound is something so unique and incredible. They're just such a great band. The baggy era as a whole was simply fantastic.
I thought Shaun did great. He got 70% of the words right and made up for the missing ones by adding new better ones. Shaun is a 👑 like ODB. Watching this new performance gave me goosebumps. I forgot how good this album is. I still know every word.. Why in the world are they in a mid-afternoon "opening act" slot instead of a headliner? I hope they book some additional dates in the US besides New York and LA. At least DC

The Mondays are definitely back to there best , the early 2000s to mid 2000s they couldn’t hold it together but they are back to there best RIP Paul top guy , keep going guys sound superb X
I went to many a Mondays gig back in the day, even blagging it back stage at Wembley to party with them once, the vibe was special with these guys and their gigs, they were at the right time and place with Madchester kicking off and they brought a great combination with their style of music and didn't give a FCUK attitude. RIP Paul.
They had some good tunes out back in the day no doubt about it. Some, not all, thanks to Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne. A band that were average musicians (by their own admission) but what they had was chemistry (and bucketfulls of chemicals). Tony Wilson took a chance and it paid off. Well, not financially for him but they were on the musical map.
This is fantastic, Shauns got the earache and a front porch big enough for a couple of refugees , Bez looks like he's warming up the Darby and Joan for joint pain control, the road crew are quietly playing with themselves and they all manage to look about 15 years older than the Stones.
I think the only band that retained the energy, fun and banter of yonder year, was Madness when I saw them at the Manchester Arena a few years back. Good luck to Happy Mondays though for making a living.
It’s absolutely sad to see. I remember them in there hay day & Black Grape & they where actually good live where this seems like a total scam almost. No bass atoll & I know Paul had not long passed on but he wasn’t going to be there anyway. This is absolutely ridiculous. Shaun not moving more then one yard during the whole set as he’s singing from a karaoke machine for the words & que.
I was at kubix festival where these guys were due to preform,but sadly coudnt.rip Paul x security werent as accomodating as here. I remember a group of woman wanting a list of people performing there as a few sheets of paper was on the ground.even when the women asked if they could have a sheet security refused.
Sorry to hear that - Splendor was fabulous but yes I felt bad knowing what had happened- They are true professionals to be honest - it couldn’t have been easy for Shaun !

Where do you get your shit from... bez is a paid up band member, he get royaltys he's been bankrupt twice through not paying tax..through bad deals that band lost millions I love reading what people think they know.. I was around from the beginning and our record company was actually the Mondays press agents.. So I think I've got more insight then most

If you're talking about the band, they did this in very raw, recent grief and they did it as they felt as if Paul would want the show to go on. Hell, he showed up to rehearsals when his mam told him to go to a doctor.
