Just for all the people wondering: I did ride it with the sensor for a while. I had to put ridiculous force into skidding to get it to a standstill. The delay of the sensor noticing the pedals have stopped made it even harder to skid it to a standstill: the motor kept on powering on for a while after starting skidding. I would like to see any of you who think it's fine try this with the sensor. I can tell you now, you would not be happy with it. On the other hand: throttle works like a charm!

I'm wondering that if you press the accelerator while skidding is it going to catch speed while skidding ?

A fixie with a positive feedback loop electric drive system sounds like something Colin Furze would be in to. He would have his safety tie so he'd be safe.

Hmm love the frame which you sit in in the intro. Totally dont know where it is and totally am not working on it to make it a kart. Never saw it 100% no cap totally real (context: i am working on it with a friend for which you made the frame)

Ok, swytch, ball is in your court: You will have to create a battery pack that fills the rim of the other 2/3 of the wheel, balancing it out. There you have a product!

Cool! Maybe instead of fully disc'ed front wheel, you can keep the shape you have now, but instead make it a faring - attached to the fork, and not have it spin with the wheel?

Bad spot for the battery-pack, 🤔 it's better to attach it to the head tube, so it won't interfere with the steering(feel)...
You could leave the sensor on and use a'kill-switch' to stop 😜

    • @Raphson

I most certainly can. The problem is mainly the fundings. Even just some steel costs an absolute fortune where I live...

If you wanted to do an electric conversion you could use a single speed instead of a fixie bike, so that you can coast, but still have only one gear, although would recommend putting the motor forwards, as if you have single speed, the motor will always have a lot of load at the start of acceleration ( because obviously you have one gear ratio which is usually high), so putting it forward not only makes the motor perform better and not heat as much thus more lifetime.
