Hey guys, no sweat! Glad I could help. Glad to hear some of you are doing this stuff naturally. I find about 50% of people (at least) don't do these right hand techniques naturally/properly. You can imagine how tough that can be for a guitarist if they don't have this down! - Will Ripley
Awesome video. This would have been very helpful if I didn't automatically use all of these techniques instinctively haha. Eagerly awaiting the second part.
Synthetic Reign Same, although, I've always used the flat part of the pick, and instead of putting my hand down at the bridge I stick my pinkie on the pick guard, which I picked up from fingerstyle players
Yeah man 1.14mm is the ideal thickness - I've experimented over the years and it has the best attack power, while at the same time not too thick to allow for shredding
Thanks a bunch Will, didn't have a clue that curling your thumb/finger and using the side/edges of the pick could make such a difference. Would you say that this is the correct form for slower picking as well as this faster style?
9 mins for basically showing alternate picking. While I did enjoy the lesson I think this is one of the worst lessons for beginners learning to play rock.

So which side on the pick do you pick from the left or the right?
Thanks Will, this has been really helpful.
You have the pick I use the purple 1.14 mm dunlops huh? I just came here for curiosity and maybe to fix mistakes I don't notice heh

Oddly enough that's how I've always held my pick. It just felt more natural to me than any other way.

'Kay, good stuff, ok? but way too many "'kays," 'kay? You could eliminate ALL of the 'kays, OK? and still present your material. Okay? :-)
