This is a very rare clip from channel 5 WNEW NYC 12/28/77 The band is the original recording band for URBAN DESIRE. Bobby Chen-drums,Connie Taylor-Guitar,Charlie Giordano-Keys, Richie Fliegler-guitar The shots in the street were lower east side NYC & the shots in the studio were MEDIASOUND studio's west 57th st.

I was born in New York State, now living in California, fell in love with her sound on her 1971 album where she covered the song "Flying"... Funny here that she sounds like the Real Housewives of NYC... LOL.

Go Genya! Great to see this profile of the Great Genya . She has achieved many firsts, has been in many groups & has had many incarnations. Way ahead of everybody when she did all her music. Remember, no MTV , internet or radio play for women rockers back then. Genya's done a lot.
