Absolutely worth it. I live in a rural area with satellite and tethered mobile and always had issues with online gaming disconnecting me whenever one of the internet connections failed for ~8 seconds. This app actually lets me stay connected whenever one of them is down =) worth every penny if youre an online gamer! Also this video helped a ton in trying to setup multiple wifi connections without a dedicated ethernet cable plugged in.
great video simple explanation! here's the thing... can i use my ethernet cable (as a primary) and the dongle wifi to help it or it's just a wifi thing? hope u can help me
Yes, of course you can combine Ethernet at Wifi as well! Speedify lets you combine as many connections as your device is able to connect to - so as long as your pc has an Ethernet port and a Wifi adapter (built-in or a dongle), you will be able to connect to both and combine them. If you get stuck, feel free to message our Support Team at support@speedify.com and they'll be happy to help 🙂
With Speedify you can! As soon as you run Speedify and connect to a server, Speedify will see all your available connections and use them all. We do recommend that your Wifi and Ethernet be different connections, however, coming from a different source/provider, so you could get the most out of them being bonded together!
mr, if i am in the middle of a conference for example, and primary internet goes off... would the conference go on? teams for example... does the secondary work as a failover in case of primary one instability? thanks.
Yes, that is exactly how it works! In case you have 2 connections, one Primary and one Secondary, in case your Primary one goes offline, Speedify will automatically switch you over to the Secondary connection to keep you online without interruptions. This is what we call our "seamless failover".
I live in a rural area so my DSL speeds are very slow but the latency is great. I'm looking to get starlink for my download speeds and upload speeds. If I run both the connections into my PC will it pick the better latency?
Usually connections need to have similar performances to bond well, so as long as the two connections' latencies are close to each other you should pretty good results. For example, if you have a 10ms slow connection and a 500ms fast connection, those two won't bond very well. But you can always set different Priorities to your connection or change the Bonding mode in the app to fine-tune it and get the best results. Of course, if you run into issues or need assistance with the fine-tuning, feel free to reach out to support@speedify.com and our Team will be happy to help! 🙂
can you confirm if i can use a raspberry pi or maybe a zimaboard as a network router and using speedify while not using the router license? i cannot afford using router license since i am just starting my small gig of livestreaming events.
Please know that if you plan to run Openwrt on your device. You will need a router license first: speedify.com/store/#routers While we haven't tested this, Zima confirms that this should be compatible. In that case, you can try grabbing a generic file from here: firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=23.05.5&target=x86%2F64&id=generic As for the Raspberry PI, you can use it without Openwrt and this way you do not need to purchase a license: th-cam.com/video/SGjhhfPVDtc/w-d-xo.html
Can I just not use my phone directly connected to my computer instead of buying a separate wifi dongle to enable a second internet connection? i.e. use USB tethering instead of wireless tethering and plug into into my pc.
Yes, of course! The additional Wifi dongle option is only an option in case you want/need to stay wireless. Otherwise you can use USB tethering to share your phone's Cellular connection to the PC as well. Alternatively, you can also try our Pair & Share feature that lets you stay wireless, and still share the phone's connection without the need for an extra Wifi Adapter! 🙂th-cam.com/video/wXoG2WY5d6E/w-d-xo.html
can i use this to play one app with both connections, plaing warzone with 2 connections to boost my speed and stability using the blizzard launcher to play the game?
If you mean to use Speedify just for your one app, that's not possible at this time. If you connect to Speedify, all your traffic will go through it, so your Internet overall will get better speeds and stability. You can set up our Bypass feature to have specific apps go around Speedify, but then their traffic won't be affected by any boost Speedify can give you. Having that said, if you run into any issues using Blizzard's launcher with Speedify make sure to reach out to our Support team at support@speedify.com
It certainly can speed up your downloads, when you're combining 2 or more connections at once. Not sure what you mean when you're asking if it affects games - can you please be more specific?
When you say "connect each Wi-Fi adapter to a different Wi-Fi network", do you mean a different ISP? I'm working from home, single ISP, multiple routers conntected to the single ISP (personal computers, work computers, IoT devices). Will this solution improve (maybe double) my throughput? Thanks, Tony.
Preferably, yes. If possible, we recommend using different sources/providers for each connection for the best possible performance and reliability, however you CAN use the same Internet source/ISP via multiple different means, but this may limit the performance you get out of them because you're connecting to the same tower, and if it runs out of bandwidth, you won't see an increase in speed; plus if the ISP has an outage and your Internet goes down, all of your connection from that source would go down as well, leaving nothing to fail over to. In addition to your home Internet, you could use your mobile data as a Secondary connection to have something give you a boost or a failover option in case needed. 🙂
Can you control what traffic goes through each network? Example: Streaming traffic goes through Pixel_2713 and all other web traffic goes through Connectify_5G?
No, but if you want to route most of your traffic through one connection you can set that connection's priority as primary and set the other connection as Secondary. Or, if you don't want to use the second connection unless necessary you can set it as a backup connection so that Speedify will only send traffic through it only when the Primary connection stops working
This is amazing! 🤯 Quick question: I'm looking to remotely control a soundboard and computer at our church, each of which is on a different Wi-Fi channel. When you say that Speedify bonds the channels, does this mean that I could control both the soundboard and computer at the same time without having to switch back and forth between the different Wi-Fi channels? Thanks!
If you strictly want to achieve what you described in your comment, you only need an extra USB Wi-Fi adapter so you can connect to both Wi-Fi networks at the same time and control your soundboard and computer. If you're also live streaming the church service, then Speedify is something you need to keep the stream from disconnecting or getting into poor video quality. You will be able to do that by combining 2 or more Internet connections.
@@each1-teach1 Basically you have to see how you can connect each Wi-Fi adapter on your Mac to a different Wi-Fi network. Here is an article that should help: support.speedify.com/article/452-connect-usb-wi-fi-adapter-mac
