May ilang simbahan sa Pilipinas ang nagsasagawa na ng kasal para sa mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ communities.
Pero ang ganitong seremonya, kinikilala naman kaya ng ating batas?
Ngayong Pride Month, pag-usapan natin ang same-sex marriage at gender equality sa Pilipinas sa report na ito.

Kahit Hindi na same sex marriage pwede na civil union para naman magkarroon ng legal rights Ang mga magpartner at kababayan nating LGBTQ na planong magkaroon ng partner at mag-adopt
Sabi ng DSWD, pwedeng mag adopt and same-sex couple pero isa lang sa kanila ang pwedeng maging legal adoptive parents. Yung joint adoption kasi kung saan dalawa ang pwedeng maging legal adoptive parents ay available lang sa married couples. So kawawa yung LGBT na gustong maging magulang sa mata ng batas pero hindi nila magawa kasi bawal silang ikasal
@@rainb5987 Which is problematic, If the legal guardian in a none hetero partnership dies, who will get custody of the dear child? We should start seeing none hetero adoption as an extension of the family for those who cannot support the kids.

People should remember na may dalawang uri ng kasal sa Pilipinas:Civil at religious. Ang gusto po naming marriage ay civil marriage. Hindi namin pwepwersahin ang mga simbahan na ikasal and mga same-sex couple, especially that it is against church doctrine. We only want the same rights as a straight couple married under the law. We don't want to impose on your religious freedoms.

The community is not asking for a religous marriage, we need a civil marriage so in the eyes of the law, we are legal. Imagine, a gay couple who's been together for 10 years and yet they cannot have conjugal property because they're not married. Imagine, if one of them is in the ICU, one cannot enter because technically they are not related unless they get married. Yan ang hingi ng community, hindi basbas ng relihiyon. Yang mga karapatan na meron ang straight, sana meron din sa LGBTQI+ community. Kasi kung wala, walang equality.

2 ways to make same sex marriage/union legal in the Philippines
1. Through Congress - File a bill in both House of Senate and House of Representatives legalizing it.
2. Through Supreme Court - When civil registrar refuses to grant marriage license to same sex couple, they can file a suit to trial courts against civil registrar and declare Article 1 and 2 of Family Code as unconstitutional. The case will be elavated until in the Supreme Court.

These brothers and sisters needed respect i agree because they are God's children with dignity but I think what they needed the most is genuine Love base on truth. To show them true love and kindness is to render them what is moral and true and not lead them further to their own eternal destruction.

Hi. I think it is already ruled that same sex marriage done in foreign country can't be recognized in the Philippines because of the Article 1 and 2 of the Family Code.
But you can still challenge the law before the trial court but you need an actual case or controversy. Ask a lawyer. Then the case will be elevated to the Supreme Court which had the ultimate power declare a law or any part of the law as unconstitutional.

Marriage is not only for religious person. Even atheist do get married. A Marriage or a union between a man and a woman predates religion. It existed even before there were any religious institutions. It was God who instituted a union or marriage as we know it today between a man or a woman.
That's is the one of the many reasons or root causes of mayhem in our society today. People most of the time justifies their error by saying we are all different and have different beliefs so therefore just respect each other. This is really dangerous because this lead to further confusion on people who are already struggling with this distorted ideology and by not rendering them the TRUTH, one is not offering another the true meaning of Love for neighbors but instead leading them more to their eternal damnation. Philippines being historically and culturally Christian people is better than this. We should help our brothers and sisters who struggles with this menacing ideology instead of justifying or condoning it with so many absurd excuses. God bless!

The truth is leaders are given the authority to make laws and protocols to be adhered by a certain community- if that person wants to be a part of that community. If an lgbtq doesn't want to be a part of that it is their choice and having a freedom to choose is a gift because no one wants to be dictated or controlled like robots. Marraige facilitated by Church, no. But entering an agreement wherein part of the community can practice co-ownership or co-parenting is OK (more on a contract agreement according to the law of Man). Remember that Marriage is a sacred ceremony defined by our religion. It is not something anyone of us can alter.

Same sex marriage is a topic that has sparked much debate and controversy over the years. Many people believe that love is love and that everyone should have the right to marry whomever they choose, regardless of gender. Others believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, citing religious or traditional beliefs.

LGBTQIA+ couples grow old just like the rest of us. They need to have the same equal rights as what heterosexual married couples have. Not necessarily conducted by a specific religion but at least have a special ceremony to mark the union of 2 people and the same legal rights. These people work hard not just for themselves but also for their parents, siblings and even provide for their brothers or sisters kids and extended family members. They deserve to also have security and make financial or health decisions for their own family. Most people are using religion to oppose it without realizing that we do have different beliefs which means what might be written in the bible might not be the same in other scriptures. But does that mean that they’re also wrong and would certainly be punished for committing a sin? Let’s keep in mind that we all do commit sin through words, actions and thoughts. Also, mentioning about doomsday if it would be passed into law. FYI, a lot of countries have legalized same sex marriage years ago and they are still in the map. As a matter of fact, they are very progressive. And what about the countries whose government and majority of the citizens are very close-minded, radicals and extreme? Yes, if not struggling, the quality of life is very poor. The universal truth is that humans have conscience. You do good to others, then you feel good. You do bad then you feel guilty. Do unto others what you want others do unto you. Let’s be afraid of Karma more than anything else. Same sex couples just want to enjoy the rights given to all citizens for aside from they are paying taxes and contributing so much in this country, they also just want to live. Isn’t that what you also want for yourself?

Homosexuality is birth factor like sex, ethnicity or race. We can't change it. We can accept that we were born something or something because of God or nature (version for atheists).What is real important? To have equal rights no matter of birth factors: sexual orientation, sex, race or ethnicity and being GOOD PERSON (without addictions, violence). If it's not in the Ten Commandments, then don't make it complicated. I personally do not believe in any marriage whether it's gay straight, transexual, whatever. Marriage is nothing but a scheme, a matter of economic convenience and legal complications. Why does one have to get married? You get a license, you throw a party, you get stuck in a bad marriage, etc...
If two people love each other, then love each other, live together, have kids, build that loving relationship. Why does a legal piece of paper dictate your God-given right to love? God never included GET MARRIED as part of the 10 Commandments so I will pass :)

Is Same-Sex Marriage good or bad?
In my opinion, I honestly "disagree" on it. Why? Doesn't that mean that I hate LGBTQ people because I have so many closest friends with them? It also doesn't mean that it's bad, but the law doesn't have a response to it yet.
Same-sex marriage is a big thing for all who want to do it. They call it "building a new family." It is a big responsibility to become parents to our future kids (children). How can they (LGBTQ) explain to them if they ask why it is like that and this?
You are right.
We don't have the right to proclaim or judge what you want, what you call yourself, or what gender you have, but when it comes to the topic of marriage, it's difficult to explain. When love hits you, people can't do or say anything when two people love each other. To all LGBTQ guys, you should accept the fact that in the Philippines, culture and tradition always come first.
Maybe in the other County They agree with it but only Law and Goverment have a competencies and in their hand only dependingly have the rights to Decide about it.

I presume you have read what happened to Soddom and Gomorrah on how God showed his wrath to humankind because of their sins... homosexuality included.. there was even a story where 3 angels visited Lot and some men come in to have sex with them. I don't hate the LGBTQ Community, but I know these stories and what Paul mentioned in Romans 1:26-27.

Ang same-sex marriage ay isang mahalagang isyu sa lipunan na nagbibigay ng oportunidad para sa lahat ng tao na may parehong kasarian na maipahayag at mailagay ang kanilang pagmamahal sa legal na paraan.
