My vote always goes to the English bulldog. The 2017 English bulldog is my girls great great grandpa.

Am I the only one who thinks they could have possibly come up with a better name for this group of dogs than the "non-sporting" group? It's as if their identity is defined by a negative. They are "not a sporting" group. They might also be called the "non-terrier" group, the "non-working" group, the "non-hound" group, etc.

The Chow Chow was an all purpose dog in China. They pulled sleds, hunted and were used to guard Buddhist temples. They are the inspiration behind the Chinese Foo Dog statue. They should be in the working dog group, since they are excellent guard dogs.

i agree non working is a negative description for those dog. I have owned chows and in China they were very hard working dogs and had a variety of things they were used for. I found them to be wonderful dogs.
