@@Track.Monkey yes,I know but some people will argue upon this fact that they were on different races...but as track fans we know what exactly happened, right???get ready to see sub 48 next season...
Sydney already owns the 400m. She ran the WL last year of 48.74s, and she just rolled the World, Olympics, and Diamond League Champion, 49.11s to 49.45s.
She is a world away from Paulino and that doper Nasser. Also 49 low is what Femke Bol runs indoors. Then again, Sydney has that shady coach, and can perhaps adjust her doping to go head to head with Paulino.
Syd is a generational talent - maybe even more than that. I don’t follow T&F nearly as much as you kids, but enough to recognize what I’m seeing- and I have been watching for a long, long time now. As an oldster - I don’t believe I have ever seen such a dominant force on the women’s side in my lifetime - even better than the legendary FloJo. She is to the track what a combination of Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps would be to swimming. I simply love to watch her make it look effortless, while knocking out long-held records, and never appearing to take anything for granted - she runs to the tape every time - even when occasionally hitting the brakes in quali. I can’t wait to see what her, “Final Form” is. Gonna be crazier than seeing Bolt’s almost unreal performances in the sprints… and I am 100% here for it.
@@rajetmills4985 Sydney can't run 100 under 10.80 and her 200m is at best a 21.60, nothing SJ uninjured couldn't handle. Her 400 flat is mostly that 200 + hang on for dear life and at best a 48 low atm (including the 47.7 relay), but that is still good enough for Paulino and the rest.
Wait can someone explain why she was able to run? I know he mentions how she was supposedly not running, but never said why she was ultimately allowed.
This obviously isn’t the actual Diamond League race, otherwise Sydney would’ve had competition. Go watch his previous video about it and it’ll tell you the answer.
The shoes appear to be New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel V4. They're pretty light at 5.9 ounces (women's shoes have a lower weight because of the smaller shoe size used for specs).
Either the NB Fuel Cell Rebel V4 or the NB Fuel Cell SC Elite V4. Although that colorway is definitely available to the public in the Rebel and not the Elite. But maybe she gets more selection of colorways...
It could, but the height of the hurdles present less of an obstacle for a tall female athlete than the 20% higher hurdles do for the men. They don't slow her down too much.
using the same mesuring stick as was done on femke boll ..sydney has never beaten paulino ..am backing paulino on this one ...400m flat best right now ...paulino
I think because it's irrelevant ? Those were 2 different races. Sydney was running in a race with nothing to win but a fast time and money. She got the money and a decent time ... Paulino already ran her fastest race of the season when it mattered most (48.1 at the Olympics) and only wanted to win the Diamond League, which she did ...
49.11 on open track? That is a JOKE of a time no matter the excuses of Syd fanbois (no racing shoes seriously??? 😂😂😂). Bol ran 49.17 indoors on two laps to set the indoors WR. Indoors is roughly 1 second slower than outdoors... Bol has EASILY low 48s in her legs on the open track. If anyone breaks the 400m WR it will be Bol or Paulino who also ran 48.17. Both of them have much more potential than Syd.
Do you know that Sydney ran a 48s on her season opening? Weathers conditions are different and I guess athletes are training a way harder for the Olympics than diamond league final... Are YOU a Femke Bol fanboi?
So I get that whenever Sydney runs it's a big deal, but like the video says: she ran a "decent" time. Of course she isn't helped by the weather (just like all the other athletes in Brussels), so maybe the expectations were a bit off (most predicted an AR, some even speculated sub 48). It would have been weird if she did not dominate that field, so her winning by a huge lead was to be expected. So why this video ? Is it just because Sydney's name generates more clicks than Paulino's name, who also ran a "decent" time but is the actual Diamond League winner ? As a fan of the sport I like to see Sydney compete, but in the end she didn't break any record and didn't win the league ...
I believe the Diamond League has too many mandatory races so Sydney did not participate. Since she's slowly converting to 400m and 200m racer, she did not want to race too much..
@@bogususer2595 No SML is part of an American DL competitor league from 2025 so she was there to promote it AT THE DL Finals, which is next level trolling. @@bogususer2595 She had to run 1 (!) Diamond League meet in the entire 2024 season to be able to run in the finals. I don't think one race is "too many mandatory races" ...
Yeah nowhere near the record. It is not realistic that she can break the record, with what we have seen so far from her on the 400 m. Still very far away. Does not take away that she is an awesome athlete.
They are doing to Sydney same thing they did to Abby Steiner. Sydney is a great 400mH runner but she is hardly a medal contender in 400m flat otherwise that would have been her main race. Only lower cadre 400m runners run the 400mH race.
She is tooling with the world. The track was wet and in flats? Is she trying to fug up? Spikes would have kept her safer from falling or slipping. I’m thinking this is a preview to next season because she didn’t take this seriously
So what if, Paulino will beat Syd over the flat, 400m? Will she beat her over the 400 hurdles? Imo, it is more of an effort and sacrifice to be champ over the hurdles than flat 400m... Think about the effort.. the energy that is required to clear those hurdles as opposed to just running..
Paulino was in the Diamond League final (and won) because she was competing in the league this season. Sydney ran in an "invitational" race (made up just to have her at the meet) because she didn't compete once in the league this season.
@@_MicZ_ Thanks for the exploration. I saw Paulino's race later on and didn't understand why two different races. Ppl wanted to see them go head to head so this didn't really do anything for the fans. Syd just needs to take this event seriously if she wants to compete in it and not just show up once in a while
I'm a bit confused by the video - Not the issues with Sydney running in this special qualifier, but with the times shown.Iin the lower right corner of the video, towards the end of the race, the graphic shows "WL 43.4, MR 44.03". Sydney finished in 49.11. Those times are what, almost 5-6 seconds faster then Sydney's winning time? Huh? And then the actual Diamond 400m final was won by Marileidy Paulino in 49.45. So...two of the fastest 400 meters runners currently are a full 5-6 seconds slower? I don't know or follow track closely enough to understand that discrepancy. So, what the heck are those two much faster numbers? Some graphic thing left over from the men's 400?
I think Sydney might have just perfected the 400m Hurdles so much, basically eliminating the hurdles when she runs the event, that she can't really run much faster on the flat as people would expect. So the improvement by a second and a half to her hurdles time when she is running the flat is probably her squeezing everything out of herself in the flat. And we know Sydney doesn't come out to big events to time trial, she comes in to showcase. She could've stayed home when she got refused participation in the DL Final, but she chose to still show up, which implies that she was confident in the form and wanted to showcase it instead of just allowing it to go to waste. So I think that the 47-second WR mark in the flat will probably be safe.
Sydney('s team) contacted the Brussels meet to ask for the double, she probably always knew she wasn't going to run in the DL finals as it's not hard to look up the rules. They offered her enough money for it to make it interesting for her to travel to Europe again and she was probably aiming for fast times and the opportunity to run a double before running 4 of those next year. Hard to tell if she was going to get a PB in better conditions, but it didn't look like she was capable of running a low 48 at this point in time ...
I'd love to see Levrone and Tebogo be defeated. I don't like Levrone's new coaching from a coach who has long been suspect but seems to be wily enough to avoid definitive proof. Innocent until proven guilty. Tebogo looks much older than his stated age. He could only finish third in the 200m WC final last year yet somehow got faster. Also, innocent until proven guilty. Hmmm.

Yeah saw 400m Queen Paulino too!
Sydney appears as she was in practice. She has the ability to break both the 200 and 400m flat. I think next year she will take up those challenges. She is super special of an athlete
She's breaking NOTHING, she isn't even getting close, you're highly deranged
Agree I’m glad she’s moving in form the 400mh…there is no reason to keep doin that race…focus on the 200/400…we seen her win both races with top talent and she has the ability and speed to not only win but domiante those races
That is insane!!
Here's an interesting question for you, what should the women's shot put world record should be? On the all-time list, I found 183rd, 21.24m, Valerie Adams, can you find any better? It is over 1.5 meters behind the official world record of 22.63 by Natalya Lisovskaya of the Soviet Union. Best non-Iron Curtain distance, Sui Xinmei in 65th, 21.66m. Best this decade, Chase Jackson at 20.76, 535th!
At a bare minimum no marks before the 90s should be considered or before 2000 if you want to be really harsh!
Almost positive those are spikes. Saw Norwood in them at USAs
The are. New Balance MD-X

This You Tube is typical TRP Clickbait.
It’s not the shoes that slowed SYD down. It was the colder weather. The weather slowed down All of the sprinters.
It's supposed to be slightly warmer tomorrow, but still not warm enough to expect really fast times. I'm not saying fast times won't happen, just that they are less likely.
Mark my words Sydney will own 2025 400m open season...I am not disrespecting other athletes...but Sydney will definitely find out the mechanism to run more faster!!!! excited to see Sydney vs paulino
@@Track.Monkey yes,I know but some people will argue upon this fact that they were on different races...but as track fans we know what exactly happened, right???get ready to see sub 48 next season...
I see it
Sydney already owns the 400m. She ran the WL last year of 48.74s, and she just rolled the World, Olympics, and Diamond League Champion, 49.11s to 49.45s.
@@Track.MonkeyPauline ran 48.17 this year so she doesn't own it yet.
49.11 is not that bad..
once she retires her records gonna be 100m - 10.36, 200m - 21.04, 400m - 46.75
@@rajetmills4985 Sydney can't run 100 under 10.80 and her 200m is at best a 21.60, nothing SJ uninjured couldn't handle.
Her 400 flat is mostly that 200 + hang on for dear life and at best a 48 low atm (including the 47.7 relay), but that is still good enough for Paulino and the rest.
Oh yeah!!!
Have wr 47.55 sec ?
Wait can someone explain why she was able to run? I know he mentions how she was supposedly not running, but never said why she was ultimately allowed.
This obviously isn’t the actual Diamond League race, otherwise Sydney would’ve had competition. Go watch his previous video about it and it’ll tell you the answer.
She was part of the Invitational race, which is separate from the DL final.
This is a qualifying race for her. If she hadn't run in this one she couldn't have run the the DL final.
MR was 44.03sec going by the stats on your all so informative vlog…. She’s a long way from that brother…
No spikes or flats , running in normal shoes is a very fast time!
They are spikes that look like flats
World record for running in normal shoes!
They are the New Balance MD-X v3 spikes.
The shoes appear to be New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel V4. They're pretty light at 5.9 ounces (women's shoes have a lower weight because of the smaller shoe size used for specs).
Yep, it's either that shoe or maybe the NB Fuel Cell SC Elite V4 but a colorway that isn't available to the public yet
Or the sc pacer 2, which seems more likely
She’s wearing spikes. It’s the MD-X like she normally wears
She only used spikes at Olympics.
With spikes she would smash the world record, maybe below 47.
Looks nothing like Rebel V4's. MD-X spikes.
Wow. No mention of how her time was faster than Paulino's.
We made this video before Paulino ran her 400 meters. It was impressive to see McLaughlin running faster than Paulino tho. Thanks for the comment
So which shoes did she wear?
Either the NB Fuel Cell Rebel V4 or the NB Fuel Cell SC Elite V4. Although that colorway is definitely available to the public in the Rebel and not the Elite. But maybe she gets more selection of colorways...
She wore her normal track spikes. MD-X. Same ones she wore at the Olympics.
3:27. Bottom right timer saying the WL time is 43 seconds … who the f ran that time ?
That’s what I was saying😂, probably a technical error

@@Gen_X no he didn't run the current world lead. he ran the world record.
Crazy how nobody accuses the women’s 400m world record holder of doping
we all know. they don't give af now because sydney gonna break that record.
Well they did say at the beginning of the race that conditions were not ideal.
Sydney’s 50.3 over 10 hurdles has to equate to sub-48 in the open. Just a matter of time.
It could, but the height of the hurdles present less of an obstacle for a tall female athlete than the 20% higher hurdles do for the men. They don't slow her down too much.
Look at that Holy Spirit go. Zoom!
using the same mesuring stick as was done on femke boll ..sydney has never beaten paulino ..am backing paulino on this one ...400m flat best right now ...paulino
Its hard to break records when no one is pushing you.
No mention that she ran quicker than the diamond race
I think because it's irrelevant ? Those were 2 different races.
Sydney was running in a race with nothing to win but a fast time and money. She got the money and a decent time ...
Paulino already ran her fastest race of the season when it mattered most (48.1 at the Olympics) and only wanted to win the Diamond League, which she did ...
sis didn’t even bother putting on spikes. She’s living life on easy mode
They are spikes they just look like flats
There's no competition between spikes and trainers. Only reason to wear trainers is if there is so discomfort in the foot.
She's literally wearing spikes
I guess she's tapered off her "regimen"
I'm confused. So she was allowed to run after all?
It was an open race not one that had qualifiers if I'm understanding right
@@jyan727 Alright. Appreciate it🤙
@@michaelmouse4188 No worries
49.11 on open track? That is a JOKE of a time no matter the excuses of Syd fanbois (no racing shoes seriously??? 😂😂😂).
Bol ran 49.17 indoors on two laps to set the indoors WR. Indoors is roughly 1 second slower than outdoors... Bol has EASILY low 48s in her legs on the open track.
If anyone breaks the 400m WR it will be Bol or Paulino who also ran 48.17. Both of them have much more potential than Syd.
What’s Sydney pr go look it up since you a hater
And you not gonna run as fast with no competition
Do you know that Sydney ran a 48s on her season opening? Weathers conditions are different and I guess athletes are training a way harder for the Olympics than diamond league final... Are YOU a Femke Bol fanboi?
In case you did not know, Paulino ran 49.45 just five minutes later. What is your excuse? 😂
Also paulino just ran slower than syd
Brittany's time beat Syd's 200m time. So that means Brittany's better than Syd
Jersey strong
So I get that whenever Sydney runs it's a big deal, but like the video says: she ran a "decent" time.
Of course she isn't helped by the weather (just like all the other athletes in Brussels), so maybe the expectations were a bit off (most predicted an AR, some even speculated sub 48).
It would have been weird if she did not dominate that field, so her winning by a huge lead was to be expected.
So why this video ? Is it just because Sydney's name generates more clicks than Paulino's name, who also ran a "decent" time but is the actual Diamond League winner ?
As a fan of the sport I like to see Sydney compete, but in the end she didn't break any record and didn't win the league ...
she had no damn business competing in any race in Europe, especially when she doesn't even support the Diamond League
Ofc she probably just followed orders, but the idea is to start a DL in America and kill off the DL so US people don't have to travel AT ALL but can just stay home.
@@bogususer2595 She had to run 1 (!) Diamond League meet in the entire 2024 season to be able to run in the finals. I don't think one race is "too many mandatory races" ...
Disappointing for her fans. But actually a good time for her.
Yeah nowhere near the record. It is not realistic that she can break the record, with what we have seen so far from her on the 400 m. Still very far away. Does not take away that she is an awesome athlete.
That looked too easy
But why does the WL say 43:40 and MR 44:03 for a woman's 400m race.😂😂😂😂.
The flat has far more prestige and competition than the hurdles.
Is she the new Marion Jones?
Those are definitely trainers she is wearing. That rime in rhose conditions is mind bogglingly impressive. Particularly with no one pushing her.
They are spikes. The New Balance MD-X v3
Why is the mens meet record and world leading time doing in a womens race
Why are blocking the video
That would have been a good opportunity for Femke Bol to beat Sydney. Femke runs 49 low indoors over the 400.
NB MD-X v3
Don’t put the winner in your thumbnail
Where is the Olympic champ
Yeah, was confused by that too. No idea what that was. Women's WR is 47.6 and Olympic Record 48.17. Indoor is 49.17.
13C°
I don't know why anybody expected otherwise mid september in Belgium, the average is between 10-20°C.
At least it stopped raining before the races ...

WL 43.40 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No correlation between headline and video. Disappointing
why did it have the mens WL and MR times up lol, no woman has run 43.40s this or any year well no female woman ;)
Sydney is a legend
I guess it was ok.
