Thank you so much Kimberly for doing videos during this quarantine time. No need to apologize for your kids making any noise or for the video quality. Everything was great! It was just good to see you & all the beautiful quilts you showed. We appreciate you so much! Take care!
Kimberly you did a perfect job! And please do not apologize for anyone hearing your children they can't help they have to be home. You and your family stay safe and healthy. And keep up the good work.
Your videos from home have been awesome, Kimberly, so thanks so much for doing them! These are such strange times, and they have us all out of our comfort zones. Just being able to spend a little time with some of my favorite TH-cam friends makes things a little more normal. Fat Quarter Shop is awesome, and you are most definitely appreciated. :-)
Thank you, Kimberly - the video was great! I have been so used to watching multiple FQS videos every week, that I am feeling a little bit lost without them. I truly appreciate all that you do to bring us trunk shows, free pattern ideas and sew alongs, especially in times like these. I am definitely looking forward to next week's sewing room tour! I am sending warm thoughts to you and your family, and hope that everyone stays safe and healthy. Be well.
Kimberly, there is no need to apologize for whatever you think isn’t perfect....everything you do always turns out great!! I loved hearing your kids outside the door today, it means you have a normal family life!! Thank you for all your videos and for showing us what your working on...it helps us in a mighty way!! Emma cooking for the family! That’s awesome! My granddaughter (14 1/2 yrs old) cooks for my daughter & family on days she works at the hospital (nurse,12 hr shifts). Like Emma she also takes dance, ballet, and she misses her lessons. Anyway, I look forward to your next video!!
Amazed this was filmed on a phone. The video was perfect and much appreciated. I really look forward to your videos, so thank you for making this extra effort. Grateful to you and all your staff for all you do.
Kimberly I really enjoy all the information. I am a custom tailor and I have never made a quilt. I do have one suggestion . This has to do with starch. It goes for cotton blends and 100% cotton. Spray the starch on the fabric and then pat it in until it disappears. You can control how much starch goes into the fabric. One more suggestion is I use a rolling rack for anything that needs to dry. You could hang a very large piece of fabric over the bar on the rack. I use my rolling rack for everything. Cleaning out closets, Putting clothes in garment bags for winter. I just washed , for a customer, a huge tu,tu by hand and dried it outside. It looked like brand new. Kimberley thanks for all the suggestions . I will be making a few quilts soon.
Kimberly - hope you know that having anything “normal” is a great comfort right now. Thx for the extra effort to get this video out. Way beyond perfect
As Angela Walters is famous for saying Done is better than Perfect....but you videos are perfect because we get to have a normal Friday which helps deal with the very unusual times right now! It is actually normal to hear children in the background of videos! And I kind of love it reminds me that we are all in this together!
Thank you Kimberly for taking the time to continue your videos. They bring me some happiness in our crazy world. Luckily I bought enough from FQS last year to add to my quilting and cross stitch stash that I have tons to do during quarantine!!
Hi Kimberly. Please don’t apologize “you’re going to hear my kids I’m sorry “ we love that you are doing videos for your FQS community. We love hearing and seeing you and your beautiful family 😊
Hi Kimberly! Thank you for filming during this stressful time. I am at home sewing masks like crazy but so happy to see all your ideas and it makes my day feel sort of normal 💙
Thank you for the ideas for quarantine time. I drove four hours today to get my sewing machine and supplies because I didn’t have them at my new house yet. I had my cross stitch with me but not my quilting and I was going crazy. Now to pack up the car for the ride back!
Thanks so much Kimberly for continuing the FQS Fridays! It's great to have something to look forward to while under quarantine. I really appreciate all of the free patterns our quilting friends are sharing with us. You're awesome for accepting the challenge! 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
You are so sweet to keep saying get it from your stash but you make me want more 😂lol. Thank you for sharing always . It is obvious you are a person of quality and giving always. Your business is so great I just would love to come live there and be surrounded by all the goodness
thanks for all you are doing to help keep us quilters busy during the lock down! i’m looking forward to try some new notions that i have seen on these videos. the quality of this post was great - i love the quilt hanging behind you ❤️💙💚
It was a great video. We are all doing what we have to right now. Thanks so much for bringing us a little bit of joy. And maybe even better ... thanks for helping keep some sameness in our lives! Since I am home all the time your videos really help! Keep staying safe and I hope your littles are able to find things to do so they aren’t driving you crazy! Loved all the quilts!
Thank you Kimberly for keeping up the live streams. Everyone is doing the best they can, and I appreciate you trying to keep filming these under stay-at-home guidelines. Maybe the kids can be roped in as behind the scenes helpers.
I know you are stressing about doing the videos at home: there is no need to stress. You are doing a great job. I really appreciate what you do for us. I’m a nurse and can’t wait to get home to see your videos; it’s my way to destress and relax. So please keep them coming.
Loved the trunk show. Beautiful quilts, shown by a beautiful soul. I was hoping we could see your kids. Haven't seen Emma in quite some time. I bet she has grown a lot. That's great that she is cooking. I used to do all the cooking when I was 13 and up. Both my parents worked and I cooked dinner for all of us. I knew they were tired from working all day. Thank you and Kevin for all you do for us quilter's.
Thanks Kimberly! 3 inch blocks for Edyta - crazy woman. I have stuck with the 6 and a half inch blocks just using my scraps. It will be funky, but I've learned a lot. Be safe and be well.
Thank you for doing your inspiring videos during this time of quarantine. Looking forward to your sewing studio organizing video. Stay home and stay safe!
Thanks for the video. I have been missing them. The quality of the video was not only fine, it was great. Thank you for giving me a little bit of normal. A nice escape. Hope all is well there.
Thank you Kimberly! For going above and beyond. Love seeing the videos, and miss Lily too. You do have your hands full with family and business. Stay well everyone! 💕
Thanks for all you are doing, trying to make the best of this times and I appreciated, because it keeps my mind busy daydreaming on all the quilts I want to do. Please take care and be safe.
I don’t usually add public comments, but a BIG thank you! This was a well needed break from the ongoing bad news.... I’ve been in quarantine for over three weeks here in San Diego. The projects using my stash are appreciated. Please don’t worry about your kids, dog or other noises of a busy family. Again 🙏
Thank you Kimberly! I know it may be difficult for you to film these but it is wonderful for us to see you during this time. Its nice to have moments of normalcy during this crazy quarantine
I thoroughly enjoyed the trunk show! Good job Kimberly...keep smiling! a quick note on homeschooling is relax...I used to homeschool my kids back in the day (yes, by choice) and believe me...you are teaching those kiddos every minute of every day...don't think you're not doing a good job because I believe you are! Don't stress out over it AND remember to take time for YOU too. Momma always told me "if you don't take time for you, then you won't be there for others when they need you"
It is so wonderful to see you. Keep the videos coming regardless how you feel about quality. We don’t care. Seeing Kimberly is better than not seeing Kimberly! As a matter of fact, kids in the background make it real. Liz, Florida Panhandle.
Kimberly, you said that if you and Kevin reached your goal for Make A Wish, that Kevin would appear in a video. Well, you exceeded your goal, so Kevin needs to keep his word. =) You did well on your video. Thanks for keeping them up. It is hard to go without.
Wonderful video ! Thanks so much for making this video for all of us who are quarantined it gives a little normalcy to our lives to see you. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. I get inspiration for projects and I’ve learned so much from watching the last few years. When I need something to take my mind off the news I have been sewing Log Cabin blocks with FQS 6” paper. Thank you.
Loved this video and the quality was fine. Thank you for continuing to keep in touch and showing all of us the fun new things . Looking forward to next Friday's video. Keep well 🙂. good thoughts for good health for Lillie and all your staff 👍🙂
Hi Kimberly, Wow, I’m impressed over your skills at filming! Great job Girl! I didn’t realize you were doing this all by yourself.. An extra thank you for providing a show for today. I recall the juggling I had to do when my children were young.. yikes, as today’s activities, are so much more on your plate than in years past (I think). Kudos girl 💗👍💗 Stay safe and Bless y’all, Chris-Raleigh NC. PS, please give yourself a pat on the back over all that you are accomplishing each day. It’s a good way to keep your spirits up 💗🥰👍
the video was great. I wouldn’t have known it was done on a phone. Awesome job!!!!!! Wish it was longer but appreciate anything you can put out. I ‘ll just watch it a couple more times to get my fix 😍
Thank you so much for all you do! As a thank you I placed my first large order with you; I usually try to shop local. Looking forward to getting my shipment and will be thinking of you and your wonderful staff as I sew. Looking forward to seeing your sewing space next week!
The video was great. We just enjoyed seeing and hearing you. Thank you and thank you for all the ideas. I’m working on 12 1/2” Pineapple paper quilt. Took me awhile to get the hang of it but am now enjoying it. Making a queen size. Not using scrapes but yardage and a jelly roll. Wish there would of been fabric requirements 😣. Ran out of background fabric, had 3.30 yards, ordered 4 more yards and need another package of papers. Would of been good to know this from the beginning. Oh well, lessons learned. Thank you and hang in there. My daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids are also working from home. We are missing them but glad we have FaceTime. 🧵🧵🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing. We realize how difficult this is for you right now. This too shall pass, I just pray for all the businesses that are indeed struggling. Stay healthy.
Don’t apologise Kimberley. Your video was great. Truly appreciate all you do. Shame I don’t live Stateside. Correct, good job I don’t live Stateside or I would be broke 😀😀😀
So glad you and your family are well, happy for the video, and thankfull that your shop is still shipping, keeps your employees working and our stash full 🤗💕🙏
Thanks for doing this video. Always enjoy watching and seeing what you are working on. Sorry they are stressful on your end. But we appreciate you keeping us sane. Keep well
Stay safe- love the videos in any form- we appreciate them and you taking your time to make them! I’m an essential employee here in Michigan so I’m wishing I was getting some extra time to sew, but duty calls!
Good morning, the information above says that the coupon code is valid from March 25th to 29th, however the video was uploaded yesterday... April 3rd. I am definitely going to be ordering this book, it has some really nice patterns in it, thanks for sharing!
Kimberly....please don’t stress over these live-streams during our sequestering. Its a great video, loved seeing all the quilts. Love that you are so upbeat and positive. Something I am frustrated by (and this goes for all online shops, not just FQS) is that I often see precuts that I might buy, but there is often no yardage available to buy of the larger prints within a selection, like you would use a larger floral print to use as a border or even a backing - maybe I'm just always late to the party and its already sold out.
Video quality was fine. So good to see you Kimberly and hear the updates! Thanks. I wouldn't mind if we heard your children in the background. No problemo!
