You have found an unfinished Atari 2600 Cartridge that seems to contain a glitchy cloned version of the classic Atari game, Adventure. There are rumors that the cartridge has been linked to the disappearance of several children, but still you can’t help but plug it in and play…
IDK man, I don’t think that this is an Atari cartridge. Unless the creator of the game used the power of a demon to give the game a lot more storage space.
It's pretty cool that it seems to be based on Adventure, the Atari 2600 game that's considered to be the first ever action adventure game and contained the world's first easter egg (and it also played an important part in Ready Player One).
i really liked the mechanic of showing player injury by using damage to the screen, although the game almost feels closer to Berzerk than Adventure with how chaotic it gets
Similar to old video games such as haunting ground too! Kinda unfortunate that this feature is rarely used anymore, while the fact that it could even match most games' atmosphere
This is pretty epic, and the cracked CRT screen was a nice touch from the developer. I really like ingenious horror games like this, as they really break from the tropes of the genre, and try to make something new, in a similar vein to games like pony island for example!
when horror games are just like "let's start at 200% and never let up even once" it's very.... overwhelming. Its hard to get engrossed especially when nothing feels connected thematically or otherwise. I do like these aesthetics (Faith chapter 3 coming soon babey) cause it challenges what you can do and for the most part I think the art style succeeds here even if it's drowned out in just how much there is to take in. When the fracture showed up on screen I was actually impressed but then it shifted place and I was like "Welp that's an oversight" which was a shame. Also they showed up in a totally different style later which was jarring (I do like the idea for the final boss a lot but the actual execution could be done better). Guitar man is my favourite though, a nice respite in these trying times our square friend faces. Overall fun but noisy!
The fracture on the screen doesn't normally move when you play the game, it's just that I had to edit together multiple playthroughs - it's a rogue like so it's quite hard to get everything in one playthrough.
Man, I remember playing Adventure TONS when I was little(I'm only 16, my family just so happens to own an Atari) and I never did find every secret, but this stirs up some fond memories.
Makes me think of creepypastas, a Backrooms level where everything is in early 80’s video game graphics, or something similar. I was obsessed with Adventure for the 2600 (I never played the later versions on newer consoles), so this was enjoyable. Especially the cracked screen and then the black screen.
It’s like that sound phenomenon where there’s a frequency of sound that only young people can hear so it bothers them, but older folks don’t hear it as well. People blast the frequencies outside of their stores to keep teens from loitering.
I owned one and played on it almost daily from around ‘82 to ‘84. Adventure was my favorite and I still search the Internet for parodies, adaptations, and interesting merch.
Oh man, i'm so glad I was able to find something to say about this game. 6:18 -- It's time for you to SAWK ME AWFFF! *grabs you while having a devious smile on its face*

The Static sound or the "eeeeeeeee" does make me feel i am infront of the screen and playing it
This game is weird

I actually use those haunted cartridges to gather up blood to save people's lives when they spew from the speaker.
POV: you found it on goodwill

Well spotted! ADV3NTUR3 is a cursed version of Adventure. It even has some of the same gameplay mechanics, enemies and screen layouts!
I also love how said easter egg is the basis for how text in this horror spinoff is presented.
I've been looking FOREVER for a horror based game of atari's adventure...oh what a happy day this is
@@P.H.S303 That's an oddly specific search...

man i love berzerk
And three years later, TORMENTURE was born.
yup!
Truly a terrifying experience. I'm more used to a PS1 horror theme game but this one is just as horrifying.
how the fuck is this horrorfying, the f ucking game is just tetrist but creppy

absolutely in love with that zombie’s very normal haircut
This is really cool. I played Adventure all the time on my dad's Atari 2600 and this definitely nails the aesthetic.
If I didn't have one of these new types of non-glass screen, I would've thought that the screen really WAS cracked!
Ooh, another one of these! There's another game like this that's called Misadventure, I believe...
Yes but that was a flash game and instead haunted cartridge it was more lovecraftian horror invasion of game.
@@Dracologist yes, in Misadventure, you are actually saving the world from monster taking over the world, unknowingly.

Oh no, the Dirty Bubble Creepypasta invaded my Adventure Game™️ for the Atari!!!
This one took me back. Oh man just the sounds alone. Thanks.

That mf bubble from spongebob
The dirty bubble finally has a cameo
I don't know why, but this games feels like a haunted house level in Mario and a FNAF minigame.
fnaf gets thrown around in this channel exactly like the meme of "this is like dark souls" nothing wrong with that, love memes hahah
Is that the Dirty Bubble?
I'm pretty sure i played another game like this on Newgrounds a lot of time ago...
Similar perhaps, and maybe a childhood trauma
@@amnael0 I found the game
It's called *Misadventure*
Short flash game but you can find some playtroughs on youtube

All I can think of when I see this is the robot chicken skit
All I could think of when I saw the thumbnail was dirty bubble.exe
They need to violate Ed edd n eddy with the robot chicken treatment
THIS IS BASED ON A FLASH GAME, Misadventure! DUDE i love it!
Yo the video thumbnail is Delirium
Faith and Adventure combined.
Faith vibes, I can feel it.
That constant whine noise hurts my ears.
Same here, we both must be sensitive to that kind of sound for some reason.
Remember those old TV's that made that nasty whining sound?
It’s like that sound phenomenon where there’s a frequency of sound that only young people can hear so it bothers them, but older folks don’t hear it as well. People blast the frequencies outside of their stores to keep teens from loitering.
I wonder how many people have actually played/own an Atari 2600? I still have mine, didnt have Adventure for it though.
