Hi Natalee! This turned out so beautiful and you did it yourself! I would like to see how you would build a bookcase with an arch over it. I'm not sure how to explain it or what it is called. I've been seeing them a lot here on YT and I'd love to see how you would do it.
I would love to see an old wood headboard updated, but not have it be permanent. I've pondered this for months without success.

We too just bought a house without a fireplace and am going through the same thing. The funny thing is we moved from CA where I always had a fireplace, to a state where it actually snows, and our house does not have a fireplace. 😊

You are so inspiring. A lot of crafters I watch do crafts from DT, DG and/or Walmart and transform them. And they do come out beautiful. However, you not only do these types of crafts, you tackle renovations, builds, etc. You are not afraid to take on so much more. This is why I love your channel. It’s so versatile! And you always not only explain everything so well, you inspire us to not be intimidated and to go outside our comfort zone to try something new! This fireplace is a perfect example. (Dollee is growing. She needs safety glasses and a baby construction hat! lol!) you put a lot of work into this fireplace and a lot of details. It certainly paid off. It is absolutely gorgeous!! Something you will enjoy for years to come and hopefully some of us out here will have one to enjoy as well!

Years ago, I wimped out and purchased ready-made portable fireplaces that have a firebox and take clean-burning, ventless gel fuel, but I don't have your talent for design and build. It is so nice to have flame, actual or electrical, in rooms that don't have a fireplace, even if not renting. I can't wait to see your bedroom redo. You are the best!
There's no shame in that!!! I 've thought about doing a furniture flip on one of those too! I think there is just something magical about fire. Maybe I am a pyromaniac! LOL.

After watching you do the first fireplace wall, nothing you do surprises me. That was and still is stunning. I couldn't imagine what you'd do for this one. It's pretty and I like that you matched it to the other. You teach us in simple easy steps while showing and encouraging us we can do it! I am always excited when a new video pops us. Thank you for all you do with your videos. I bought a home in May and have been going back and rewatching some of your videos to get ideas as I do my rooms!

I am in the process of redoing my living room wall similar to this. I found a faux fireplace plan with hidden doors for TV equipment since we aren't doing cabinets (we only have a living room, no family room). Our process was exhausting but all we have to do is some decorative trim and the final painting, then order the floating shelves. I'm so excited to complete something similar to yours from having seen you pull yours together! It is so inspiring! Thank you!

Thanks for the idea! We will have to see when I can fit it into the schedule, but in the meantime,, all I would really do is add a triangle to the top of the mantle and maybe have a couple of cleats mounted on the wall to support the back of it. =)
