@@KaneCold Actually? Not a bad idea. Make it a channel project where those that are on the discord can all take turns, where it's completely random who gets it, and they get it for one day only. Then it moves onto the next person, then the next. And then every 3rd or 4th day, Total can check in it, and take it for a video and try fix our mess :)

@@Grivehn I think the upkeep on certain saurus units is actually even cheaper than spearmen skinks with Kroq gar. So yeah, like you said, Saurus all the way with this army in particular.
I think Lizardmen are pretty great mid-game and fairly decent late game, mostly because of Stegadons and Priests. They're pretty trash in the early game though.
@@CheekiTiki Yeah, a lot of their strength comes from specific techs and/or followers. Their income buildings are high cost low return and they don't have any high tier ones, either. They do get better once they get that +200% income from mines, though
i downloaded the file and tried something new - after securing my first province i headed over to Malus, crushed him, angry then wiped out Eshin. everything was going well until i set twwh2 down to go replay mass effect.
So I am not the only one who bounces between Mass Effect and TW2. Both games give such a huge amount of replayability/ fun,that they make many other games seem lacklustre for me personally.

I have DLed but haven’t started the campaign yet, recently moved and I’m finishing up a Mali campaign. Krok Gar was my first ever completed campaign on Vortex and I’ve never completed him on ME so I will be using yours to achieve that. Thank you, hopefully you could do more of these.
What goes around comes around? Last Defenders or Lizards in general are just so tedious to play on high difficulties. They have really good tools and now even choices on their magic with the new heroes. But supply lines just break your back.
Lm are a pretty slow but steady grind if you expand in a way that no one slips into your undefended cities you basically just have very few but pretty much unbeatable armies that destroy everything over a lot of turns.
I’ve actually done skink blob countless times in Cult of Sotek campaign against Skaven. Using Flock of Doom and Bastilodon (Ark of Sotek) to aoe while corner camp allow me to win against 7 stacks in 1 turn.
I downloaded the file. Your first ten turns are my favorite. I've used every single one. I know they take a lot of work, but i wish you'd do one for every lord.
This fight was more interesting than most of the saving disaster battles. I'd like to see more weak early game army fights. The tactics used here taught me something.
i've donwloaded your save file as well. and while i can say i did a bit better (managed to get kroq gar to 40), my campaign is not that great. turn 160 and still haven't left that corner, being assaulted by two orc factions relentlessly, and teotiqua in the back declaring war on me and starting to get my settlements because i;ve left them be. so i think i'm going to try again

I've started using vampire counts blob tactics with my ogre kingdoms gnoblar crapstacks. once you've got them unbreakable with the big name, it's quite fun to use and a refresher from the usual ogre stampede
This was actually kinda funny, how it got straight back to you. I myself, didn’t download it, but copied, and maybe refined the strat a little bit, ended up a turn ahead, so to speak. But that’s.. yeah ages ago.
So funnily enough I had a similar situation in my own campaign. I had to beat her and keep going or it was gonna be like 20 turns or recovery and fighting over and over. So I took on her with weakened Saurs warriors and skinks. Needless to say ratok is my favorite skinky priest and I do everything in my power to keep him alive. 2 comets and 700 kills saved that campaign from a grind.
I tried it myself instead of using the save file the first time, and found out that if you recruit the Kroxigor with the '"Strong'' trait you can actually auto resolve the skaven ambush battle with a Close Victory (all done on Legendary/Very Hard Battle Difficulty)
Didn't download the save file but i did try to copy the tactics you used and on a lower difficulty level and still got rolled so it came down to me being just bad at this game XD
Don't feel too bad about it that starting position is actually pretty difficult one. You have to either get rid of or ally with Khalida very early before you get attacked by them and clan Mors from the other side.

I have to avoid clenching up my diaphragm when laughing because it hurts my lung, but the instant you said, in that very Skaven-esque voice, "And you still fucked it up!" I wheeze-laughed and that really hurt, but honestly, totally worth it, that was hilarious.
It's funny, thought I'd never send one of these in. Yet here I am watching this, just as I sent one of a Ikit battle disaster in (fresh army, shit terrain, weapon team focused)
I know you put a lot of effort into making this fight look tough to save the dude who submitted it some face, but when you really have the mobility advantage like that, your victory was assured the moment the skeletons arrived on the battlefield.
I'm playing total war Attila, and the ai is unbelievably stupid compared to tw2! They charge their cab immediately, and their melee units eventually outpace their general, which I promptly isolate and kill with cav :)
after the fast units were gone you could have just used the kroxigors to run somewhere else since they aren't great against an enemy blob then you could have flanked the archers more easily, but none were killed so it didn't really matter
the problem with that is some units would have chased after them and that would have made the skeleton blob smaller which means the wind blast would have been less effective. I only had a few wind blasts so i needed every shot to do maximum damage. the kroxigors were not in danger unless the skinks routed
There's a video from a few years back, I think it was "the Lizardman Experience" or something, where the creator demonstrates that through Windblast, all things are possible, so just jot that down.
Sorry for this incredibly out of place question. Is there anything you dislike about WH3 that would remain even if the Chaos Realms campaign was removed and made completely sandbox?
Legend doesn't usually respond to comments but I can answer for him. He will return to WH3 once immortal empires are released. Also I believe he hopes CA will improve the magic system at some point. But for more in depth critique we will have to wait how the immortal empires will turn out

@@Malaneth He's definitely complained about a few other things (e.g. winds of magic rework, major city sieges, bad heroes/traits/tech trees for some new factions off the top of my head), but he has said that overall he doesn't think Warhammer 3 is a bad game, and the main reason he doesn't play it is the realms of chaos campaign. He's said there are a few things he likes in Warhammer 3 over 2 but overall it isn't really better than 2 in enough ways to warrant playing it at the moment, plus the lack of playerbase is bringing him down

I whole heartily disagree with recruiting an early game skink army as the last defenders. With Kroq Gar skinks are about the same to upkeep as saurus warriors. I first want to say with saurus warriors you can auto resolve your way to victory over the skaven by turn 6 (on legendary! as of May 2022). If you get lucky it is possible to confederate the neighboring lizardmen faction by turn 7-12, though I would not count on that(ive done this before on legendary). Rapid growth is not essential as the last defenders. Once you have a full saurus stack(15 units or more of saurus) you can destroy the military (saurus) building and build population building if you want. If you are not able to confederate the neighboring lizardmen faction by turn 15, shove your saurus warriors up their arse. catch them out in the open, avoid a siege if possible. If you play right you should secure these two provinces and then some by turn 20 and should be ready to play from here.

@@clementbianchini8651 Legend has the worst of luck with mods and usually stumbles upon the worst parts of them (whatever are the worst bugs, issues etc) nearly instantly with about as much consistency as him going red when gambling for Winds of Magic (so nearly always), which sort of spoiled his view of mods. Every once in a while he might check a mod HE considers worth checking out, but otherwise he avoids all mods altogether. If Legend finds a mod he wants to cover, he'll cover it on his own, without a need for suggestions.
how about a Warhammer Randomizer Run where you try to do the campaign but every Unit in the game has either randomized stats or swaps stats with a different Unit and that changes every 10 turns or so :D
Lizard men are kinda boring on higher difficulty. They just suffer too much from high upkeep and their economy takes forever to get going. By the time you’ve got a couple armies Grimgor or Franz has taken half of the map
I suggest you try a tehenhuin campaign. Very strong. He gets followers who reduce upkeep and others who increase relations , plus it's fun to play as lizard Moses
this is why tiqtaq'to is such a beast, given he buffs flying units (which aren't expensive) AND reduces their upkeep still further (you can get a free flying stack).
He’s said plenty of times that he isn’t covering WH3 until IE. There’s literally nothing to talk about anyway. It’s a handful of tiny changes that should have been implemented months ago. What’s the point in making a video for a game that less than 5000 people are currently playing.
