Picture Frame Project that nearly broke me 😳

For the last 2 years I have been watercolor painting all 141 mammals in Washington State. This month I built frames for every one of them. I milled the frames from maple 1x6's and cut them to size with my miter sled. I glued the pieces up using blue painters tape, and wood glue. To reenforce the joint I nailed the corners with 23 ga. nails, and then it was time for Sanding.
Sanding took me more than 2 weeks on its own. I started with 120 grit, and moved to 220 grit after applying wood filler. I then applied the first coat of polyurethane, and let them dry on dowel racks. After 24hrs I sanded the frames to 320, and applied a second coat.
My friends at Gallery Frames supplied me with precut plexiglas and acid free foam-core. I built a centering jig for the paintings, and started adhering them to the backer. I used removable acid free tape to hold the paintings down and then placed them in the frames along with the plexiglas.
The paintings were held into place using a point shooter, and adhesive hangers were applied to the back. (Link to all the materials bellow)

So almost a year and a half later, but since you asked for feedback... I really enjoyed this format. You showed the process of the project, but the painting breaks for what the project is about was fun, too. Showing snippets of the journey toward gallery night really made this feel like a worthwhile project for any of us. I also appreciate the music choice over fastforwarded shop noise or dubstep (which has its place, but that's not quite here). I look forward to more like this and congrats on selling so many opening night!

WOW !!! OK, so I came here for the woodworking, I've been a subscriber for a while. When I saw your mitre jig last week I thought "yeah that's cool but I'll never need to do that many mitre cuts". Secondly, your artwork is amazing, to take on all the mammals is a mammoth project and you smashed it 👍
The other things I took from this video were all the little tweaks you did to the shop to facilitate the project, the block screwed to the bench to sit the frame on while sanding, screwing the posts to the wall for the drying frames and the jig for mounting the pictures to the backing.
Great video, everyone could learn something from this.
