20 Ways To Stop Galaxy S9 Battery Drain! Look to be honest the S9 and S9 Plus are some of the best phones Samsung has ever made, but the battery for some has been questionable, in this video my aim is to help you significantly improve this! These are all 20 things I do to get some of the best battery life possible! If I missed a tip share it with the community!
Nick Ackerman great tips, I would add " clear cache partition" in recovery. It helped also a lot. Also disabling background function of Android systems in app settings!! The problem has to do with background activities in standby. Screen on time is absolutely great but the standby drain is unfortunately not that great..
Guys , if u disable all of that features you better buy a mid-range phone. Where is the taste of a premium phone if i disable for ex AOD or screen rez to 1080 ? etc..etc..
Yeah exactly! Disabling all these features cripples the phone and will lead to a sub par experience. I'd rather charge my phone and have useful features on then go without them. Also if you wanna have a bad, but long lasting experience, you can easily do this with the built-in Samsung battery saver feature. You get all that bad resolution, no connectivity, and no brightness with a tap of a button, you can even go monochrome for full on screen shaming
They will last that long , he even showed you how :20: max power save, will turn your phone to your 13 year old nokia but can go to flagship at press of button ( my samsung j5 at ultra power save 100% = 4.9 days )
I'm in love with this galaxy S9 plus I'm a heavy user with most of the features on and I'm getting some serious mileage out of the battery each day I've yet to kill it with my usage. Typically TH-cam throughout the day here and there a lot of social media and a lot of searching on Google and constant texting this thing gets me easy 12 hours with more to go and I don't use the power saving mode yet. I'm curious to see what I can do with that and how many days I can go with that
There are 2 good ways to reduce battery drain: 1- open settings > device maintenance> battery> battery usage> three dots up top > optimize battery usage.. 2- open settings > device maintenance> battery> go down to Always sleeping apps> put all apps into sleep except of apps like whasapp, facebook messenger,... I don't know what is the point of buying expensive flagship phone and then changing resolution to lower, turning off AOD and the rest of the features that YOU PAYED FOR. Your video is ok, I'm not talking anything negative about you or your tips, they are awesome, but when you must turn off many features to have a good battery life on a flagship phone you became very mad at Samsung.
Their battery optimisation is the worst in the business. I regularly lose 10-15% overnight just on standby because AOD, mobile data, wifi, background sync is active. Once I disable it I get better standby. On the iPhone I’d lose 2-3% only. Night and day difference. Apart from the fact that you must disable features you paid for, it is also quite frustrating that android requires you to do a lot of background maintenance yourself and doesn’t manage things efficiently the way iOS does. Not being a fanboy, but that’s the truth.
I've always been a samsung person, but I've seen the battery life my gf gets in iphone using ALL OF THE FEATURES SHE BOUGHT IT FOR. I basically turned off everything that could be turned off and her phone still outlasts mine! It's crazy, bye Samsung 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Because they think if you do this, the apps running in the background will stop and you’ll save your phone’s battery. But actually, if you do that, when you open one of the apps that was running, it will take time to load, and that would drain battery
The Samsung S9 battery is indeed wasteful, because of its awesome performance. if you want economical buy a lower type with a large battery or buy power bank

Quesition please. Have you seen unknown icon running in the upper part of screen beside in wifi icon? This looks like a triangle with up down arrow inside of it. Appreciated your response.
Has anybody started experiencing longer battery life than usual? My SOT is usually 5 hours and 47 minutes, but recently it's been lasting about a hour and half longer. Right now I'm at 4 hours and 33 minutes SOT and I'm only at 40 percent.
It seems as if many of these tips are all or nothing propositions and they don't have to be. For example, on the AOD feature, you can schedule a set of hours you don't want to this feature to be on instead of turning it off completely. You can toggle a switch (block accidental touches) so that the screen will not light up while in dark place unless you receive a call or text. Auto brightness works most of the time but when it's not responding as it's supposed to do, you can toggle the auto brightness off an then back on and it will self adjust very quickly to the desired brightness. Personally, one of Samsung's self-battery saving features that I hate and cannot seem to fix is when I am on a call using the Bluetooth or speakerphone and the phone is on a stand, if I don't interact with the phone for let's say 30 seconds, such as using the keypad when prompted, the screen goes black. The phone still works fine though. I then have to wake up the screen by pressing the home button. I would like to be able to have the screen stay on so I can see the call timer and access the keypad options without having to wake the screen up. Against one of your tips, I have maximized the screen timeout to 10 minutes and cannot figure out why the screen goes black during a call. Lastly, I also have "smart stay" toggled to the on position. Any help would be appreciated.
How about the various camera overexposure and underexposure issues in Auto mode, focusing issues, unremarkable audio in video, black smear issues on the S9? Have you had these issues?
Watching on my s9 and I never had problems with my battery. I'm using my s9 all day and I usually get 5-6 hours of straight gaming than it take 1 hours or less to fully charge
