I totally agree with your opinion of the game. Its been a long time coming for something of this quality and addiction to keep yourself afloat. I loved the game so much that I forfeited my copy to my brother, whom has been war gaming with me since we were youngsters so that he could experience the wholeness of this great product. I know I am tardy to the party, but I ordered one of the few left I could find online, will be in my hands by Wednesday. Combine that with a pre-order of Silent Victory and this boy will be happy for a while.

I liked and subscribed. For anyone watching this in 2018, they're reprinting this game from Oct - Dec 2018. So go and get your 3rd Edition pre-order now! (gmtgames.com). The 3rd is exactly like the second. They're also reprinting (or releasing?) The Hunted, which is the U-boat campaign from 1943-45, so it gets much harder. If you're like me, you've probably watched this great review of a solo wargame and wanted to buy it only to find it out of print and people selling it for $100+ on eBay or something. Seriously. Get in on this reprint and pre-order now! This sounds like such a fun game that I haven't been able to play!
+GreenJeepAdventures Once you're comfortable with the rules, you can knock out a single patrol in 30-40 minutes. An entire career can take up an afternoon/evening, if you live that long ;)

Better late than never! Plus, "Silent Victory", the version featuring American subs vs Japan will be out towards the end of the year :)
