Just cuz you're living in Canada and I'm familiar with snow loads, because I live in Denver, when you took out the two walls dividing the kitchen from the living room and dining room, did you talk to an engineer before you did this so you know that it's not going to collapse under a heavy snow load, like, say, 14 in? It can happen. This is also the house that you redid the line of the roof and added more timber and insulation isn't it? I really hope you consulted an engineer.

House needed some work but it’s a big size and 2 acres so I wonder what it cost 6-800k?
