    I've been waiting to return to Dawlish all year as its by far one of my favourite filming locations in the UK! Famous for its seawall, where the Great Western railway snakes its way around the coastline. Dawlish is always a good day out!
    So this video is filmed from a few locations, the video starts with a shot of a Cross Country HST departing Newton Abbot. From there we move forward to Dawlish, with a handful of shots at the station itself as well as from various locations and vantage points along the wall during our walk to Dawlish Warren. From there we actually caught a train back to Dawlish and went to a pub which I highly recommend called "The Marine Tavern" with an excellent outdoor seating area and some tables upstairs which offer a brilliant view of the railway as you'll see in the video. So we stayed put there and enjoyed a few drinks for several hours. The last shot filmed later that evening is at Teignmouth station of a GWR 150 passing empty stock.
    TRAINS INCLUDED: Cross Country HST's & Voyagers, Great Western HST's, IET's, Pacers and 150's and DB Schenker 66!
    Definitely recommend that pub, if you're in Dawlish and fancy a drink head down to "The Marine Tavern" good choice of drinks & food and it overlooks the railway!
    Thanks for watching!

    Beautiful, dramatic mix up of the awesome coastline, the lovely village and the tunnelled, winding railway carrying the trains. The sight of the covid stricken anchored liners make it Unique. Congratulations

    Was there just 2 weeks back walking from Dawlish Warren up to Dawlish on the sea wall, the trains are really up and close, and the drivers especially GWR when they rolled past, my kids waved at the drivers, not only did they wave back, but even blew the horn, kids love it.

      @@TrainPlaneHub No as I was actually being complimentary as I know how difficult it is to keep video cameras level and steady when filming. So well done for keeping your cam rock-solid. I use to put Panasonic SVHS cams on my shoulder when shooting weddings as I liked the freedom of movement outside, but mainly on a tripod for inside church shots and at receptions. Keep up the good work, best Dave.

    Great video - I've been on holiday in that part of Devon before, it really is great especially along the Dawlish sea wall. My favorite has to be the HST, of course, but the 80x IETs also look good. I do NOT rate Voyagers/Super Voyagers (and also the Meridians that EMR use) very highly due to a lack of space inside (at least CrossCountry have doubled up some of them from what I can see) and due to some sort of screening material placed inside the carriage windows to block out any sort of FM/DAB/3G/4G inside the train (i.e. you can't get a phone signal and the wi-fi onboard the train gets easily overloaded). Hopefully the IETs do not also suffer the same problem as the MML will get Class 810 IETs in 2022.

    • @TrainPlaneHub
      @TrainPlaneHub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The pacers can’t run alone now due to the lack of disabled passenger access on them. So they can only run attached to a unit with PRM facilities like a 150 or 158. Northern are the same now too.

    • @TheSpotify95
