Good to see Robert still making great introductory videos for Houdini. His Siggraph 2018 presentation is what made Houdini click for me. I never looked back! Thanks for showing Houdini Engine in Unreal, that's where it truly shines for Game Development.
@@wmmediallc Agreed, I went from Softimage initially when learning and then Maya for personal/profesional work when they killed Softimage. After my Student licenses ran out for Maya I went to Houdini and it has been a great bit of software. And much more capable for traditional modelling than most people think. Even if there are a few massive caveats and workflow gotchas that a lot of people modelling within it dont realise.
One of the best things to know imo when starting in Houdini is that if you're trying to do a custom keymap you can hold "ctrl + shift + alt" and left mouse click on the UI to be taken to that command in the hotkey editor. Its incredibly useful.

SideFX is one of the few Companies that i can feel moving forward professionally. I can't remember the last great presentation from autodesk ;)
SideFX reminds me of my days with Softimage, lots of creativity and synergy.
