    Great review, I own the XT3 and 4, You've convinced me to get this and sell the 4

    I have owned now two cameras that I really get excited about using. The first was when I received the Pentax K-1, that was an amazing camera, and now for only the second time... the XH2S. It is incredible. I previously owned and used the XT4 for professional work for 2yrs but I had constant battles with that camera, the XH2S comfortably eliminates those problems and leaves me with the Fuji magic and a confident comfortable camera to work with.

      How much have you spent on memory card (rough estimate)? I’m thinking about upgrading but wondering if I can afford including the storage purchases smh 😒

    • @SummersSnaps
      @SummersSnaps ปีที่แล้ว

      @@passionpursuit_pro I paid $300AUD for the Angelbird 512gb CF Express Card Type B. I am using my older 2x 32gb Sandisk UHS-II 300mb SD cards in the other slot for now (for the Jpgs). I would like to upgrade to a larger SD card as well. It is definitely a hidden cost, but all SD media should be cycled and retired (when healthy) anyway as a measure of precaution. I tend to get new SD cards once every 3-4yrs regardless.

    Always love your reviews. Detailed, indepth, and not afraid to talk about the negatives and the things that need to be improved. I picked up the XH-2 again as the price is so close to the XT-5 but you get a lot more. A few changes like you mentioned and it will be fantastic. I think these cameras will have a long life span. It is also very nice to see more and more great 3rd party lens options.

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you like them! I hope they release some firmware updates for the X-T5 soon. I think they should focus more on updates and new lenses this generation and release the new generation of cameras after more than three years.

    Great review. The XH2S is the first Fujifilm camera that I can truly rely on for autofocus. It's not perfect, but I've never had it miss focus when it matters (both photo AND video). Used it on multiple projects now without a single issue. I can't say the same for the XT4. I've had it go haywire on me a number of times. My only complaint with the autofocus is the tracking options are limited in comparison to the competition. I just want to be able to track any subject rather than the short list Fuji gives us.
    I also love the stacked sensor. Like you said, it's very underrated. Who wants to carry around an ND filter for photos? I hate doing that. I can get a photo at super high shutter speeds without it looking warped. That's incredible! How many cameras can do that for this price?

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I think Fujifilm will bring more tracking options this year to their camera thru updates, just a hunch.

  • @jaegerschtulmann

    a small correction though, an electronic shutter does have a lifespan too. Heat build-up on electronic shutters also wear out the sensor it just happens a over a much longer period of time when compared to using regularly a mechanical shutter camera. No piece of electronic is meant to last forever for sure (well maybe an old nokia phone haha)

    Very nice review. I'm thinking seriously to get the Fuji X-H2S because it’s a real hybrid camera and also I want to use all my old Fuji lenses on it. I mean, if I get the Fuji X-H2 or the Fuji X-T5 with a 40 mp sensor I should by the new lenses too. No way. I see you have been also in Basque Country in my town San Sebastian. Hope you enjoyed. Can i ask why you went for the XT5 over the XH2, apart from the dials, which i would not use more set the camera to use the back and front dials.

      Thank you! I went for the X-T5 because I don't need 8K or the faster buffer, I like the size more and the fact that it has dual SD card slots, we all have tons of SD cards. If I need to shoot more demanding video for a project I use the X-H2s.

    Thanks! I have an X-H2 on order but because they are on back order I am thinking of the X-H2S instead. The price difference isn’t a worry. I am an enthusiast shooting photo and video and your video requirements will exceed mine. Do you find that low light ability is better on the X-H2S compared to the X-T5 for photos (since the X-H2 will likely perform same as the X-T5)?

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am glad you like my video.The X-H2s performed better in low light then the X-T5/X-H2 but the thing is, if you apply noise reduction in post you will get more details with the X-T5/X-H2.

For travel videography apart from camera and lens, what would you say is a must have in my bag?

    Your videos have a big problem ;-) they are making impossible for me to choose in between the XT5 and the H2s. I am looking for a Fujifilm camera for storytelling in video and most of the videos in youtube recommend the H2s… but for what I need I think the XT5 (after watching your videos) is powerful enough and the smaller form factor makes it really attractive. Great videos, thanks for all the information and experience you share.

    One day imma get my own unit
    This camera is unreal
    The 4.2.2 pro res raw externally recorded file at flog 2 12bit all intra is mind blowing to grade and reminds me soooo much of a canon c70 or a black magic 6krpo footage
    It can look so film like with that noise pattern also the second gain iso base at iso 3200 flog2 is just icing on the cake and makes low light work flow so easy with a fast prime
    The autofocus is quick
    The battery life is great
    What more can a hybrid shooter ask for

    I have an XE 1 and I rented an XT 3 for two days.
    1. The XT3 image has become more "mainstream " this factor continues all the way through the range to the HS2.
    2. As a Canon user I was blown away by the "flavour " of colours from my
    X E1❤
    3. As a new guy to Fujifilm,
    the XT 3 for me was far too powerful and complicated, so therefore it was too easy for me to get into a mess.
    Generally I think Fujifilm is a Photographic "system" which the new cameras cannot emulate.
    I think Fujifilm should have a Xtrans 1and 2 sensor simulation for their new cameras.😊

    Thank you for this great review of the X-H2s! I'm debating the X-H2s or X-H2 for mostly photography work. I'm not sure I need 40MP. Do you see any advantage of the 40MP sensor other than cropping? You mentioned that the X-H2s has better low-light performance but the X-T5 (same 40MP) has better dynamic range.

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    its a beuatiful camera but my only gripe is after comparing it with a sony fx-30, the IBIS is just not on the same level on the Sony which is surprising because x-h2s is 7 point IBIS.

    Hey there! I recently got my hands on the Fujifilm X-H2S, mainly for video purposes. After going through your videos, I'm still a little unsure about which lens to go for. I'd love to hear your take on which lens delivers the best quality, strikes the right balance in terms of specs for video, and ultimately offers the best bang for the buck. I'm considering three options: the 18-55 kit lens priced at $690, the 18-120 f4 PZ priced at $850, and the 18-135 f3.5 priced at $800. Thank you so much for your insights!

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lens I use for video 90% of the time is the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8, I think it is the best fit for the Fujifilm X-H2s. The range is great and the autofocus is amazing on the X-H2s. All my recent video intros were filmed using this combo. This is what I would get. But if you want a Fuji lens the 18-55mm is great for video, try to get one second hand it is a lot cheaper.

    There is a problem with Fujifilm X-H2s, it manifests itself in photo stills AF-S mode (focusing on a point and offset from the center of the frame) paired with an xf16-55 f.2.8 lens. Focus often misses or shifts to another subject. This problem occurs not only for me, but also for my friends, in the same combination h2s + 16-55. I have been using a Fujifilm system for seven years now and this is the first time I see such a problem, especially on a flagship camera ... 2023 and the company makes such gross mistakes. :(
