The first time I went to the optician for glasses I was 13. The conversation went like this:
Optician: Do either of your parents wear glasses?
Me: Both of them.
Optician: What about siblings?
Me: Both my older sisters do.
Optican: What about your grandparents? Do any of them wear glasses?
Me: All of them.
Optician: Hmm... Bit buggered weren't you?🤣🤣🤣
We, the British, are really good at weird insults, they don't usually land with Americans as they can't understand the accents. But we also have really dark humour and Americans get offended so easily.
Eye doctor. In the UK we call them opticians. "I'm going to the optician" you should use it to sound fancy!

@@chrispalmer2136 I thought they called them optometrists in the US, which technically speaking is the correct word, Opticians is an old word we just keep using.
even though Optician is the wrong word, an optician does not examine eyes, an optician just sells glasses, its actually an optometrist who examines eyes, but we use that word for some reason

The beauty of English is that you can replace so many phrases with other phrases and people just get it. For insults, you can basically call anyone anything and it works to some degree e.g. Ethiopian phone box or for getting drunk you can say anything e.g. Im getting hammer tonight, time getting shower curtained tonight etc etc.
My friend calls getting wasted "getting bearded".
'Gonna throw a can of beans you'll be like an Ethiopian phone box' as-in Ethiopian coffee is so popular the country must use coffee beans as currency to put in phone boxes, beans. It wasn't random.
Fizzy sweets in England are slightly sour sugar coated gummies 🍬and we call popping candy the same thing or pop rocks.
In the UK we have the ability to turn absolutely any word into an insult
JT. A quick joke about the Optician. A country boy went to the Optician for an eye test, the Optician said cover your left eye and read the chart, no I said the left not the right. The optician got out a Cornflake box with a hole in it so he could place it over the boy’s head. He was about to resume the examination, but the boy was crying, tears rolling from the Cornflake box. The Optician asked, why the tears? I wanted a pair like John Lennon!
It gives the saying "hide behind a bush" and "beating around the bush" (what you might be tempted to do if you got a fright) a whole new meaning! 😂😉😊Also just think if a dog stopped to do its business in that bush! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Legitimately though, they do suit you a lot, and look almost identical to my own two pairs! (Got a pair with normal lenses, and a pair with reactions and blue light filter lenses)

protip with chocolate: let it melt in your mouth more. you're always chewing 'em but the more they rest and get sucked on the better they get! (also works with crisps like Skips which literally melt, same with malteasers tbh) woulda helped with the choco-pop-rocks experience

Chocolate in the UK is engineered to melt at or very close to room temperature so it melts in your mouth not in the store. It's very rare that we get chocolate melting weather/temperature here. That is unless you leave it in your car or your pocket.
That part behind the tail is one spot dogs cant reach to scratch so they love it
The jellies are sour covered in malic acid and sugar usually i believe,also the guy put his hands in his pocket just in case the stranger tried to nick his phone or wallet or whatever else

the Glasses look good! I have recently started wearing glasses struggling with distances so tend to wear them for driving and walking around mostly, tv if in my bedroom as its smaller and i can always read what a program is in the streaming services as i used to relay on guessing by the picture!

I had to switch to Contacts because as soon as I started looking for glasses I discovered that I have a smaller than average head, they always too loose and fall off. So annoying. The last straw was when they fell into a tin of paint that I was mixing 😂😂😂😂

I faced all the 4 eye jokes etc with a patch over one at the tender age of 6 in 1962. No choice with NHS glasses. Round pink or round blue all wire. Pink for me blue for the boys! I loved blue but no luck thank goodness the small choice now.

Four eyes gives you foresight, 41 when I first had glasses for closeup work. Before mention the pug antic I had no thoughts about memes, but now, still the same, waste of time and effort why bark yourself, when you can own a dog.

Feeling the specs, I have to wear glasses for driving atm, pretty sure I'll be a permanent wearer in a year or two too, I've noticed things starting to blur at shorter ranges.
Sticking those labels on those bags is my ideal job, I used to box up bottles of eliquid and always put everyone else to shame, I could get 1000 a day done, whereas my coworkers struggled to hit 500 per day most of the time.
