    Tera flex makes a short arm 4” lift so no welding needed. I would recommend going with better control arms as that is what really makes the ride better, not so much the lift. It’s all about the play in your control arms, and the quality of the shocks. Shocks are relative to what type of ride you want. Do you want a soft ride or rigidity for rocks… It’s really up to you. The standard Jeep comes with cheep control arms and rubber bushings. That is where things give with bigger more demanding set-ups. The bushings can’t handle the pressure and have too much give causing your ride to seem like it’s all over the place.

    once you go above 3.5" there are other things that need to be done to correct the geometry of the jeep. Also, once you go above 35" tires you need to regear and get a heavier duty driveshaft and axles if you're going off road.

    Rough Country is the Walmart Great Value brand for Jeeps though. Look, even your Jeep's face is angry that it got stuck with Rough Country products! :D Sorry, I shouldn't make fun but oh well, you'll be fine.

    Only time I’d recommend a rough country lift is if you can’t afford a better quality lift their cheap because of their low quality and crap ride quality I’d always recommend saving up more money and getting higher quality lift anything to do with suspension, engine, or drivetrain should not be done cheaply those are major safety issues I also don’t recommend wheel spacers get a wheel with a good offset the number of times I’ve seen wheel spacers fail is astounding and deadly at highway speeds I’ve seen rough country lifts that have been on a vehicle for a week and failed sure wouldn’t want that at highway speeds also why didn’t you touch on larger brakes with the larger lifts and tires seems pretty important to be able to stop when you need to the only decent information anyone should take from this video would the estimates for a shop to install the lift.

    Rough Country isn';t the best, as far as lift kits. The likes of Teraflex, Metalcloak, Procomp, Icon Dynamics, Rubicon Express to name a few are way better overall...

    • @krismatic06
      @krismatic06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and thats coming from my JK 2016 which I have a rough country 2 inch lift. Recently just added 1 inch coil spacer (teraflex) and a 1.25 inch body lift (teraflex). I will be doing a whole overhaul of my suspension with either, Teraflex or Icon Dynamics, with fox shocks or Falcon shocks

      Best for the price though? Hard to beat the price and their quality has went up especially over the past few years or so

      @@danrockwell1883 Yeah I agree, for the price, hell yeah its nice. But for the long haul and quality I'd go with something else. I will admit though, my rough country suspension lift has held up. 2 years now. but i have been in other jeeps with other suspension lifts (my brother and friends) and it rides way smoother and firm through trails and offroad.

    You need more tire and less rims if you want to go off road. Clearly this guy doesn’t go off-roading. His tire and rim selection is for street. When you go off-roading, you deflate your tire for traction and comfort. You don’t want to have big rims and low profile tires like he has. Only if your mall crawling

      @danrockwell1883  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think most people with any common sense knows that. It was for the streets for sure!
