In every show, there is a character/actor not part of the main cast, that can always steal a scene. In W&G, that was Leslie Jordan. Every scene brings a smile, his delivery and mannerisms were infectiously funny. He was a perfect choice for the character, and he played it absolutely brilliantly. RIP

I feel as if I've/we've lost a good friend. He kept me company during Covid with his upbeat, positive posts. He will be missed!

Leslie's passing hit hard. I hardly react to a celebrities passing but I really cried when I found out he unexpectedly passed. It was a shock for sure!
Leslie was definitely a one of a kind. There will never be another like him.
His last IG post on Sunday was him singing gospel about going home to heaven not knowing it was actually going to happen the next day. The only one that knew what man upstairs. It was his decision to call Leslie home. I guess God needed him up in heaven than here on earth.

I think that's probably because he put a lot of himself into these performances. The character was originally intended to be a one off, but given how well he did with it, it became a recurring part. And he only got it because the actress that was going to have the part pulled out.

Jack, Karen and Beverly made the show. Leslie knew how to make his character better and better every time he comes on screen.
100% agree with you. Whoever added him to the cast of Will & Grace, had no idea what a perfect glorious match Leslie was to the show. It was like magic chemistry. Whenever he made his entrance, I knew the situation will be 10 fold funnier than it was! I have no words to label this loss.

I want to tell you, you are not alone in your feelings towards this man. I was lost and terribly afraid in 2020 (still am a little bit) and his videos while in quarantine helped me get through it and laugh and feel just a little less alone. I am absolutely devastated by his loss. It's just not fair...why do the good ones leave so early? I have cried and I will cry again for Leslie Jordan. What a bright and loving soul that we needed right now. Taken way too soon...Please people, let's just love each other while we are here.

I have a neighbor, (I'll call her Tuffy because she's a tough love fanatic), who bluntly says "death is a part of life" and the first time she said it, I retorted "So is going to the loo, but that doesn't mean it's pleasant!" And after that I ran away any time I saw Tuffy. Although I'm only in my 50s, I live in a retirement community because of complications from congenital hydrocephalus ("water on the brain"). I'm bombarded by illness and death around me. It's (bleep) heartbreaking! And people like Tuffy need to stop being so blunt! Just because death happens doesn't make it okay! I hate it when people say insensitive things.
I sorely miss relatives friends AND celebrities who I care about and have lost.

That's why gay actors that kept trying even though they would get rejected just for being gay are legendary in their own right.

I had the pleasure of meeting Leslie 2 separate occasions, once in passing during his one man show in Atlanta and the second time I spent about 10-minutes talking to him at an event in Memphis. Very charming and a what you see is what you get kind of guy and not too far off from the Beverly Leslie character, but actually funnier as Leslie.

Whenever I heard Mr. Jordan was going to be a guest on anything I immediately smiled inside b/c I knew that at least for ten minutes I was going to laugh, smile, and forget about anything that was bringing me down that day! I'll keep this clean. He came to my part of Georgia on a comedy tour a few years ago. There was a pre-show get together (that I couldn't attend) and he relayed a conversation he had with an attendee.
He was asked "Leslie, did you make a lot of money working on W&G ?" His response "If I had, do you think I'd be up here on stage in GA selling my wares ?" It was so funny and so risque and adult. I've had people tell me that this story is inappropriate in light of what has happened but I say no, it's not. It's exactly what he would have wanted. He loved to make people laugh. He knew that the grave is not our destination in the end. RIP Mr. Jordan

I can only imagine what heaven must be like with all the greatest comedians of all time. I hope someday (not too soon) I can get a front row seat to all the shenanigans 😂 Leslie was sadly so underrated. I think though during covid shutdown, more people got to know and love him and being reminded of just how hilarious he was. 😢 it makes me sad that often times people don't make a big fuss, give thanks and their flowers until people are gone. Luckily Leslie was able to see how much he meant to us, by all the comments and laughter on the videos he posted during a time we all needed it most. What a great guy! ❤ thank you Mr Leslie for all the wondeful laughs you've brought so very many of us.... definitely can't be forgotten.
