46:09 London Phase 4 records is another sub-subgenre of records I collect and I enjoy Edmundo Ros' albums too. There are lots of great world music records on Phase 4 as well as exotica records and classical music records, of course.

That's a rabbit hole i stay away from! I've got a handful of select Phase 4...but there's so many! Just can't do them all!

@@VinylHunter Trust me, I still try to be selective and have no plans to collect every single Phase 4, but it is a treat to see them at thrift stores. :)

The Simon & Garfunkel exploitation LP by The Living Brass you pulled was interesting - never saw that one before - Certainly nice background muzak though! "Twangy Guitars' by Billy Boyd is very good... The Surfaris LP you showed @$75 is vastly over-priced... I remember the "Drag Race At Surf City" exploito LP as being decent but nothing special. Most, if not all of their priced LPs at the Marble Museum were way too high IMHO.... The Hal Mooney LP you got was nice - especially the "Wacker Series" stamp on back - lol! The Ernest Tubb signed LP was a bargain! Orion, the Elvis wannabe LP with the silly cover was a gas! Talking about gate-fold LPs, I once found a Savoy Brown LP with weed seeds stuck in the inside! Thanks for bringing us along!

I didn't buy any of the "priced" records at the Marble Museum...way high! I don't remember what the others cost...only a dollar or two.

Love the Billy Boyd, found that about 40 years ago. It’s actually Jerry Cole who was a respected session guitarist and also had some great surf albums on Capitol. He had a number of Crown LP’s as well (Jerry Kole and His Strokers has a great hot rod cover)
The Bahari Brothers owned Crown and a lot of the material was re-releases of all the great material they recorded in the 1950’s for their Modern, RPM, Flair and original Crown labels. Lots of great and legitimate R&B and blues. Heck, that’s who originally signed BB King.
They were, however, kings of repackaging issuing the same albums over and over with new cover art to reflect the latest fads, “Twist With” or Surf With” etc.
Also, look for the Fazio artwork covers. Those have drawings of the artist featured.
Musically, Joe Houston, The Cadets, The Jacks, The Teen Queens, Wardell Gray, Jimmy Beasley are all worth picking up, there are many more.
During the 1960’s the Biharis label for new releases was Kent, they were still able by contact flaw to record BB King (while he was signed to ABC), the label released other great new soul and R&B with the likes of Ike and Tina Turner, Lowell Fulson, ZZ Hill, Al King, etc.

Wow! I just looked into him a bit more! He did a lot of stuff! Champs, Them, and Mr Gasser & The Weirdos (aka Ed Big Daddy Roth)! I used to have that album...took it to an auto show and got out autographed by Roth!

Yes, in '65 or '66 he replaced Chad Mitchell who founded the group. Mitchell made a few solo albums but with little success. John was on three Mitchell Trio albums. There's old TV appearances on TH-cam of him with the group, a good one on Merv Griffin's show especially
