The Firestorm spells are actually really good against Artorias. I was expecting some way of grabbing the Chaos Ember without the Charred ring but this was a clever work around.
That would be a good way to take him down, and even one-shot him with a bit of good luck, but I couldn't really use it here; I would need to get Chaos Storm from Quelaag's sister, but I need Artorias's soul to get past Quelaag unless I use the glitch-skip again, which I wanted to avoid unless there was no other choice. And if I wanted to get Chaos Storm on my first time through, I'd need a dupe-glitch to get enough Humanity to hit Tier 2 with the Covenant, which I also wanted to avoid if possible. Thus, I had only Great Chaos Fireball at my disposal, which was fun... if a bit hard, lol.
Hello there! I only watched a little bit of your videos because I just started DS and try to avoid spoilers, but they seem absolutely worth subscribing and I'm looking forward to watching them for real in near future. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Loved the video, it was structured really well. The explanations about the run and the goal of it was on point. Also I really loved your voice. If you don't mind me asking what are your pronouns?
Does the abyss greatsword even relate to chaos? It scales with humanity but the humanity scaling seems more related to the abyss because of how humanity is said to have driven manus mad.
In terms of lore, it seems that it's not tied to the Chaos Flame in any way, at least from all of my research. My thought on why it uses the Chaos mechanic is the same as yours - it scales on soft Humanity because of the whole Humanity/Abyss connection. It definitely seems like the most reasonable theory, given the sheer number of Humanity Sprites in the Chasm of the Abyss and the fact that Manus drops the most hard Humanity of any single enemy in the game when you kill him. Thus, soft Humanity makes the Abyssal weapon stronger! Ultimately though, I decided that the sword would count as legal for the purposes of this challenge since the mechanic was still called Chaos (even if that may only be because they named the mechanic before the DLC was made). ...and also because it didn't seem like I had any other options left, since traversing the lava to get the Chaos Ember without the Orange Charred Ring (Centipede is fire-immune) AND without killing Ceaseless just seems impossible. Thanks for the comment!
hey im trying to hear what you say in the video but its so low i can barely hear it on full volume on youtube. and pc volume is 87 so i dont have much to work with.
That's odd, I'm not sure whats causing that - it sounds fine on my devices. If it's only with this video and not others, then it probably isn't your equipment either... Wish I could help, but I dunno whats causing it.

Very good video, I have no idea what to comment, but I want to boost engagement so that is why I commented.
The engagement-boosting is appreciated, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

The video's levels could have been set assuming stereo. If the computer is doing mono, the sound will be half. Or maybe it's the other way around.
And my sanity is dwindling from lack of sleep, I am graced with an upload from rapid! Thank you, your timing couldn't be better!
Don't go hollow out there...
Such a fun video!
something to watch while ı eat wooooo
