Always so good to get a catch-up with you and yours! So blessed when you have time to make us a video Zach I love you and what you stand for. that pair of three year old molley girls they are exceptional . I’m ready to see y’all‘s next progress on the truck, you will not regret going to the 22.5’s tubeless! I wish you god’s speed
Thanks Zach for the update, never know what your going to get into doing mechanic work. I'm sure everything will eventually work out for the best. You take care and have a Good Week 🙂.
I've always heard horror stories about those split rims, so I'm proud for you. I've heard there were 2 kinds of log trucks; those that have turned over and those that haven't turned over yet. I hope your truck stays in the hasn't turned over type. You've got a good looking old 'Chevolet truck. I saw an interview with Sterlin Marlin' crew chief, Tony Glover one time. They asked how come his car fast. Answer was "It's a Chevolet, man, It's a Chevolet!"
Ha, yep that sounds about right. I’ve got a cord pickup and a Chevy log truck…and a Toyota car lol. These old Chevys are tough work trucks. And does a good job for us. I’d like to go to a tandem Mack eventually. But this ole girl does the job for now. And yes the split rims are pretty dangerous. Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. Take care
I have heard of others doing the same. I guess they are okay as long as ya take the precautions with them. Hey, thanks for watching and commenting!! Take care
Yes ma’am for sure! We wait till the work is done for the tea lol. Thank you kindly and thanks for always watching and commenting. We surely appreciate it. Take care
You can find open center 22.5 rims. They’ll go right on Dayton spoke hubs. You can find em used and also new. Used it best. They’re cheaper. Just take the 10-20.00’s off, get single piece rims like 7.5x22.5 or 8.25x22.5 rims and the 11r22.5’s will go right on em. Then they’ll slide right on your truck. If it has Daytons on it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Wish you luck on the truck.
Goodness! I am sorry to hear that, but I def understand the severity. They’re horrible. We got the new ones already. Just fixing to get em all sand blasted and repainted. Hubs, drums, and rims. Then new tires. Ole girl ortta be good to go. Oh and new brakes thankfully! Thanks for watching and commenting also
I worked part time at a service station , the split rims very ,very dangerous , when we did tires with split rims we put the tire under the car / truck hoist to air them up , this is how we were taught , safety first ! Stay safe , good luck !
That’ll work. I’ve heard of several ways of people doing them. I mean, if did properly I guess they worked just fine. Be we wanna get away from them. And thankfully we are now! Thanks for watching my friend and take care

Used to change tires on dadi3/4 ton Chevrolet I'd wrap a chain around them before airing them up

Tire shops around here went to a cage they put them in when they air them split rims up. A lot of people got hurt by them.
Right! Same here too. It’ll be a good upgrade for sure and tires will be easier to get also. Thx for watching and commenting. Take care

My stepfather was killed by split rim back in 1976 they can be very dangerous I pumped many of them up as a kid didn't know no better

Really encouraging to see people repair and make the most of what they've already got
