Watching this it just gave me an idea for one of your videos if you're interested but why do some fish have the pectoral fins flap at the top of their body and others flap at the bottom watching these fish with their pectoral fins flapping at the top of their body line made me think of it, which leads me to another video idea why do fish have the different shapes that they have how does it work from an evolutionary standpoint

Cheers! And best of luck... just remeber get enough fish that they can socialize properly... tiny fish make nearly no waste load. Also you can try and get 2 or 3 species that all use either the top bottom or middle water...one snail or some shrimp that occupy a cleaning role and left over food eating role.

I have the Kubota Neon Green Rasboras. They are funny. I have them in a 55 gallon with other nanos. When I feed them brine shrimp they will flash a lilac colored stripe on their back. Beautiful against their lime colored bodies. I have them, and neon tetras, Dwarf Emerald Rasboras, Chili Rasboras, Phoenix Rasboras, Ember Tetras, Emerald Eye Rasboras, Celestial Pearl Danios, and I'm breeding them all. Not on a big scale. Robocop can't be a Latin name. Latin names end in -i, -us, -a, and some others, but never in a consonant
Thanks for the links to trusted breeders and retailers though. I need this information! Also, never apologize for adding lots of information to your videos and, as far as I'm concerned keep doing it to the max!!! There is no such thing as too much information when it comes to fish. It is one of those things, like the liberal arts and the fine arts where you cannot have enough information, even if you dedicate your entire life to it. It's one of those things which reminds you constantly that life is too short, because even if you had one thousand years, instead of the average seventy-two years that we have now, you could not learn it all, nor could you get bored with it.
I was a concert violinist/violist and specialist in 18th century music at Cambridge University,. Disability has left me unable to continue my musical pursuits, but even if I had have been able to, I'd never have been able to get to the bottom of it all. No one can. As I embark on this new journey of fish keeping, which I hope will take me through the rest of my life, I realize that it is also the sort of thing that no one can completely know, and that therefore will maintain interest until I die, or can no longer do it. I eat and breath information for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the fact that you provide so much information is precisely the thing that brings me back to the channel over and over again.
Keep up the good work, and thank you for taking the time to put all these videos together!

Not sure if they're available here in the US yet, but if they're not, you could get an import licence If you're interested, I'd be willing to help you out with the costs. What a nice intro ! I wondered about the Von Rio tetra when I saw them in an earlier video of yours, and I have been very interested in getting some. I am converting my heavily planted 29 gallon tank to a nano fish tank (except the 8 cory cats, but they don't bother anyone). Along with the coreys, I have 10 chili rasbora, 4 celestial pearl danio, any number of cherry shrimp and two furcata rainbows. The furcata rainbows don't bother the small fish at all, much to my surprise.
I really enjoy the nano fish. In your experience, how many Von Rio tetra do you think is safe to add to the tank? I change at least 5-6 gallons of water weekly in the tank and test the water 2 X a month. I know it would be an educated guess for you, but I'd like your input.
