Maybe you like Japanese anime? SUZUKA is sometimes said to resemble Minami Takayama, who plays Conan in Detective Conan. Essa Hoisa on the album AG Calling sounds like the voice of Sachiko Kobayashi, a great figure in the enka world. I think this is her unique charm that goes beyond her singing and dancing skills. I saw them in Seattle 2 weeks ago. It was awesome. This song is written by Jon-Yakitory. His new song Konton Boogie is really good. Atarashii Gakko makes good decisions with who they get to write their songs.
I just saw them with my daughter last week in Chicago... high energy, loud, and a great time! Suzuka came out into the crowd, walked all the way to the back and then stood on the counter at the bar while she sang. It was enjoyable, even if there weren't any instruments being played. 😄 Suzuka has an older sister, Sakika, who was in a band called "Girlfriend". She played guitar and sang, they're worth a listen to. I suggest this song, all the girls sing so she's the one with the white guitar, th-cam.com/video/VEBiszeabkg/w-d-xo.html
