T1 has always either went 2-3, 1-3, or 0-3 to GenG in recent matches, excluding the 3-1 win in the semis in Spring of LCK 2023, but then losing 1-3 in the finals. They have almost a 2 year loss record aganist GenG, but I hope T1 doesn't lose 0-3. Please at least make it a good 5 games.

BLG vs HLE matchup looks kinda rough, don't know what team will win.. Both of them seemed kinda "bad" during this worlds meta, and players were choking a lot, HLE has Doran and Peanut who are known for throwing games easily but BLG also has knight and on who have the same reputation.
WBG vs LNG should be an easy win for LNG, if WBG somehow wins this I don't know what to say about this team, they can't do like last year it's impossible I don't believe it with how bad they were.. And this time they don't even have weiwei and theshy to carry the org.
The other side is interesting for multiple reasons, on one hand GenG vs Fly should be a quick victory, I don't see them putting more than one game, on the other hand TES vs T1 should be a really fun match, they already did a BO5 in the EWC and T1 won quite easily but TES looks better rn. I really don't know how this match will go, the meta changed and the players changed it's really difficult to say.. but if T1 wins we will get an insane semi finals, the teaser would go hard and it would break world's viewership records (unless a good portion of koreans aren't willing to stay up this late)
Anyway, Worlds 2024 was really fun, I know a lot of people dislike the Swiss Stage because of unfairness and how geng and G2 got the strongest teams while others got the "worse" but imo it's what makes worlds fun, it's not like MSI and there is so much rng.. and even then, like many players said, if you aren't able to beat any team that comes for you then you aren't worth the trophy anyway.
That's the thing that made the last 2 worlds exciting, DRX won against "much better teams" -> definding world champions, LCK champions, T1 at their prime (probably the strongest team of the year 2022) so yeah.. We can dislike how it's unfair, but we can't say they lost only because of draws, otherwise it just means that the team wasn't good enough (GenG went against only eastern team and they went 3-0)
Caedrel is at this point a curse. The sally ult is becoming more and more broken, and at this point all he has to do is support a team and they're guaranteed to choke. MDK, FNC, G2, DK all lost legit winnable matches.
