When I saw the Farkel's as a very young boy I always loved the humor of this skit. What I did not understand at the time was the infidelity that was going on until I became much older. It is much funnier now then it was when I was 8 years old. And yes Ruth Buzzi as Flicker Farkle is Hilarious.
I was an original Laugh-In fan. We kids had to go downstairs to watch it on the black and white TV while Mom and Dad watched something else up stairs. I LOVED the Farkel Family! By the way, I'm pretty sure that's Arte's brother, Coslough Johnson, who was one of the top writers on the show, dancing with him doing the Farkel! For most of my 68 years, I have loved to quote, "I'm Frank Farkel, and this is my wife Fannie Farkel, standing beside me. Imagine my Fannie beside me!" Silly, but it makes people laugh!🤩🤩🤩
I was about eleven years old when this show was on. At the time I didn’t get the joke about the Farmels, I used to just be lost in the names not understanding that the joke was because they all looked like the neighbor.
Somebody needs to make a Farkel Family movie, perhaps place it in the MCU. I would watch it 10 times in theaters and buy the DVD as soon as it was released. Or, better yet, put Farkel Family cameos into all movies going forward. And just once, at least, Goldie Hawn needs to make an appearance as Sparkle Fartkel.
President Nixon did appear on the show. He said the famous catch phrase "Sock it to me", but he didn't get hit in the head with a rubber bat or a pie in the face.
Ruth Buzzi as Flicker Farkle is hilarious.
Hi!
was not expecting to see *Greer Garson* as Fanny Farkel!! what a good sport she must have been
She seemed to be having a good time with it, didn't she?
Fantastic video quality of utter Laugh-In madness!
Those Farkel Family skits were my fav part of 'Laugh In ' back in the day😅😄

We have a friend Mark ,in his 60s we still call him “Mark Farkle “all these years 😅 he wears the glasses.
"Turned around, turned around? Imagine that my dear fannie, turned around."
That's a fine family you've got there,Frank.🤣
That's a fine collection of comic dialog you got there, Fred. Ferd couldn't have done it better, and he'd done that.
"the sound of one person clapping..... for a very long time...."
I loved the Farkles on Laugh In
I love Flicker Farkel.
_"Hiii!"_

This is GENIUS! How did they deliver these lines! 😂😂😂

What a brilliant, bizarre idea to have Greer Garson as Fanny. Probably the most fun he had in years.
SHE had in years!
I miss this show.Dan Rowan was from Pueblo, Colorado. My hometown.
I'm from Denver!
Funny as hell
Thanks for making me laugh.
I suspect Ferd Burfel has a busy social life...
I would love to know the original air dates of these skits. "Laugh-In" is this Gen Xer's all-time favorite TV show!
Laugh-In ran for six seasons from January 22, 1968, to March 12, 1973. I graduated from high school in 1972.
So the funny thing was that Ferd was actually the father of the kids. I haven't seen that eluded to anywhere.
You hadn't?
I was thinking it would be funny if there was a Farkel Family movie. After 15 minutes of this I have changed my mind.😆
Yeah, it's kinda thin on plot line, isn't it?
Now that right there was funny. I don't care who you are, that was funny!
How did Rowan and Martin keep straight faces? These tongue twisters baffle me.
It would of been really funny if Nixom would of appeared on that show !! Outrageous!!!
He would have made a great Farkel!
President Nixon did appear on the show. He said the famous catch phrase "Sock it to me", but he didn't get hit in the head with a rubber bat or a pie in the face.
HE DID! He famously stared at the camera, said "Sock it...to me?" And it helped him get elected. Ain't that weird?
We can go Snarkle Farkeling !!
Is that Tony Curtis?
No, it's Bernie Schwartz. 😉
Yes, he was a guest on the show (as was Carol Channing and Debbie Reynolds)..
@@sdstewart1962 Wasn't Schwartz the guy who delivered the immortal line, "Yondah lies the castle of my faddah?"
@@sdstewart1962 I see what you did there, but then again, I'm over seventy.
It's Farkel-rific.
