Oh my goodness..... I JUST did this same techinique 2 days ago on my camper, not having seen this video yet. Having no one else around to help me, it was clear I had to devise something that would work. So fun to see this.
Oh my goodness! Thank you for this video. This looks easy enough that I could do it! I know this was a while back but I have subscribed so we can catch other camper videos you do.
Hah! Don't know about that, but thanks! This only works if the awning track is clean and smooth. Here's another video about that. th-cam.com/video/lfH-A6WtRb0/w-d-xo.html
I do have a question....... how much wind can it handle? So far mine did well in 25mph winds, but I'm wondering if it can handle more? I have the 3 walls.
Well of course it will depend on who made the awning, your poles, and your tie downs. If it's going to be windy, I just don't put mine up. I'm pretty sure I would not want to be in a 25 mph wind, especially with a three-sided awning! I would stay inside, make toast, and play cards! 😊
To be honest, I don't remember. I want to say somewhere on the tongue, which is were the VINs go on most trailers, but mine was currently registered when I got it, so I had the VIN on the registration. You might ask your question to this group if you don't find it anywhere on the tongue: AristocratTrailers@yahoogroups.com Have you seen my rebuild album? goo.gl/photos/XvtSm2DUBFu6z5PA7
+lisa j Well, the installation procedure works in wind and rain, although I'd rather be inside staying dry...:) I usually don't put the awning up on a windy day.

Works like a charm. Can't thank you enough!!
SnowmadChronicals took the words right out of my mouth. Thanks for sharing.
I use the same method on my van and I think this is easier than having someone else (helping) you.
You are one clever man, Gary, and what a good looking trailer!
Thanks for sharing, especially where you got it!
That is slick... simple yet oh so effective. Genius even!
You made it look easy peasy! Thanks!!!
Man, you should've been a genius! Brilliant!
Thanks, fellow Gary! Be sure to keep the track clean. One way is shown in this video: th-cam.com/video/lfH-A6WtRb0/w-d-xo.html

i was given a 67 arisocrat. We are doing a complete rebuild and restoration. By any chance do you know where vin was stamped on these?

The real question is does it hold up to wind and rain?

I just uploaded a little video about how I keep the awning track maintained: th-cam.com/video/lfH-A6WtRb0/w-d-xo.html
