Denver is Housing Veterans Faster

To end homelessness, it is important to connect housing directly to the people in a community experiencing homelessness.
To date most of the affordable housing in the United States is built using complicated and expensive federal tax credits. And the result has been there simply isn't enough affordable housing.
So we set out to create a new approach to investing in affordable housing that does not require these tax credits, and allows us to bring projects together much more quickly and cost-effectively. It also allows those projects to remain more flexible in response to the housing challenges of any community over time.
Since 2018, Community Solutions has been buying multi-family properties in the Denver area around a really interesting model that makes units directly available to veterans who are experiencing homelessness.
